September Rally - at Recreation Plantation

Hi, Boomers:

The "official dates are Thursday, September 1st to Monday, September 5th. (Check in on Thursday, and check out on Monday.)

(4 nights)

The rally rate is $24 per night (includes tax). Please make out a check to RECREATION PLANTATION in the amount representative of the number of nights you will stay and MAIL IT TO ME: Cheri Cooke - 1436 Carrillo Street - The Villages, FL 32162, No Later than August 22nd. That will give me enough time to gather them and take them to the office.

If you would like to come earlier or stay longer, you will need to take care of that with the office, on your own. You will pay separately (from the rally check) for any additional days, upon your arrival. The rally rate of $24 will still apply.

Check in AND Check out time: 12:00 NOON (If sites are available sooner, you might be able to check in as early as 8:00. I wouldn't count on it though.) All sites will be pre-assigned and as the rally date gets closer, I will post your site number.

It's very nice, with lots to do in the surrounding area including The Villages, which has live entertainment every night at both of their Town Squares. There is lots of shopping, and of course there is a Super Wal-Mart close by. If we're really lucky, the new Super Wal-Mart and Target will be completed by the time of the rally.

We will be sharing the Rec Hall with another rally group, but it shouldn't be a conflict. They were booked before we were but won't need the Hall until 7:30. So, we'll schedule our Saturday night Potluck for 5:00. That will give us plenty of time to eat and clean up. The other group are Square Dancers. Who knows, they may let us watch.

We go to Silver River SP several times a year as my mom lives in Ocklawaha which is just west of it. We'll be there again July 4th weekend.
We like it!
Pretty nice and near a lot of stuff-
including the Super Walmart.........

They have Bocce Courts and I was assuming they had all the equipment too. I'll check. If not, I think you should buy a set to tote, when Jan and Bill are with us.
