Your best bet is to move further south. It stayed above freezing here.

You can purchase a water line anti-freeze designed for RVs. however, we usually just drain the water lines and hot water heater before an expected freeze.

Bill, drive out to I-95 and take the southbound entrance ramp.
About 160 miles south of Miami you will find a quaint little village where it is always 5:00 and never freezes

Bill,

What kind of answers were you expecting from a bunch of people who run around in shorts and sandals 350 days out of the year?

Your question is a good one though. You might try posting it on the Appalachian Campers forum to see what they say.

For me, with the rig parked about 30 ft from the house, I put a wireless thermometer sensor in the trailer and the base unit in the house. I set the alarm sensor at 34 degrees, figuring that if the inside got that cold, I better go out and turn the heat on. The minimum got down to 35 inside so no problem. I believe it would take several hours of below freezing to do any damage, but I don't want to find out by testing that theory.

Bill,
Audi & I just got back from Key West about 5:00 this afternoon. It was cool but NOT cold. We did go by the campground that you all are going to in June. It is a great place. We found a great site for Lou, # 28 I think was the one. He should ask for it when he calls for reservations. Great Tiki Hut, nice paved drive & pad, Nice green dumpster right next door. The place is absolutly remarkable, pretty full right now with the snowbirds.

If you don't want your RV to freeze, live in it.

It's 45? degrees right now here in Lake Buena Vista. Darn near tropical I'd say comparred to back up north.

I hope is was OK to throw away my windshield snow brushes and snow shovels.

YOU NEED TO GET USE TO THE SAYING HERE IN FLORIDA. "IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WEATHER TODAY, JUST WAIT TILL TOMORROW" AFTER 35 YEARS HERE, WE KNOW THAT THE COLD NEVER LASTS FOR LONG AND THE SUN & WARMTH WILL COME BACK IN A DAY OR TWO.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT GETTING RID OF THE SNOW STUFF--YOU WON'T BE USING IT HERE--

ROBIN
