As I type this, the temperature is 19 degrees and dropping. Low expected to be 15 degrees. Tomorrow, not much higher than 40 degrees by late afternoon. Thankfully, no snow.

But I AM in Florida.

Hang in there. A nice warm up is forecast for the weekend! And we are the only state with no snow on the ground.

This is actually not factual. Here in South Texas there is no snow. Most people think of Texas as one state. Not true. There is a choice of four state configurations. North Texas/South Texas, or West Texas/East Texas.

We tend to use the one we want to describe what we want to describe or to disclaim what may be happening somewhere else in Texas that we don't lay claim to. It is big enough to where we don't have to claim it all if we don't want. Do ya'll understand?

Example: "Yeah, it may be snowing in North Texas, but in South Texas things are high and dry." or, "East Texas always gets all the rain while out here in West Texas the dust is so bad it could choke a rattlesnake."

There. I'm glad I cleared that up.

Don (in the State of South Texas)

18 degrees in Conway, SC this morning. The ice is gone, the palm trees are recovering, the oleander has at least come back to vertical. Guess we will have to get through January for the temperatures to moderate.
Better warm up for Perry in March.

I had a wonderful time today in the low 50s with the sun shining. The wind wasn't that bad so overall I give today a 5 out of 10 for good weather. There were folks with stout constitutions that insisted on being seen in T-Shirts however I stuck it out with a jacket.

Joey Doggs Car Show will be coming back in February I understand so that will mean yet another trip for a Doggie Bowl!

Arrived in FL yesterday. Today's rain is much better than the snow we left behind.
