This is the South! We are not supposed to get a lot of snow. Four inches on Christmas day and now 7.5 inches Sunday night. Temps have been near or below freezing and it ain't melting. Atlanta is still pretty much socked in although one lane of I-85 is open to SLOW traffic.
We live sorta down in the woods below the highway and I seriously doubt I can get out. Scheduled delivery in S Florida friday and I am not sure the secondary roads will be open in the boonies to get me out of town. May have to de-ice the truck again (second time in a couple of weeks) before I can even load. Would like to stay there for a while but Ms C would need help and I would be 600 miles away.
Come on Spring - this is not the way I pictured retirement.

Amen to that, I can't wait and winter just started (officially) a few weeks ago.

Welcome to our world.

When that ground hog pops his ugly little head up on Feb 2nd, I'll shoot the little *Bast__d* before I'll let him go back down his hole.

69 days till spring! I hope you don't have to wait that long for good weather.

Here in central NH we are usually well snowed in by now but we only have about 6". However, a noreaster (not the iRV2 group) is coming tomorrow so I'll be getting seat time on my tractor. Friday, we leave for FL. Interstates up here should be fine by then. Hopefully the melting will have occurred in the mid-atlantic by this weekend. Haven't heard much about travel on I-95 so I hope no news is good news.

I went home to Iowa early before Christmas so I could finish a root canal and left the guys in Wisconsin. Before I left my husband told me the snowblower was ready to go if I wanted to use it when I got there. I told him the snow wasn't going to go away before he got there and that's why I have 4 WD.

Geez, Doc. Maybe this isn't the time to tell you we went to the Tampa Super Show today. Temp: 60, Sky: blue.

Full disclosure: Likely will drop to below freezing tomorrow night in north central Florida.

Just a dusting of snow and sleet here on the Grand Strand and the frozen rain has all but fallen off the trees. We expect it to be close to 18° tomorrow evening but the temperatures should moderate and become seasonal into the weekend. The sun was out today but with the wind chill it was button up your overcoat!

Well the snow is about OVER here in East Tn. We hope it's now over the mountain into W.N.C.. Predicted 8-10+ tonight then hi 30's tomorrow. I've been out of the house 3 times in 4 days. Talk about C U P ("closed up "phobia"). Thank goodness for TV and the computer.
