Please plan to bring your Halloween decorations and or costumes.
Stay tuned for updates!!
All the stuff below this line is just to wet your whistle. On such a short weekend I might suggest that we just hang out at the campground or "maybe" do 1 event outside the campground if you guys think it would be fun on Friday evening. I'll make some proposals shortly when I have better information.
Here's the itinerary at the campground:
HALLOWEEN WEEKEND EVENTS

Halloween Hay Ride
Friday, October 27th, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
The ride starts in front of the Recreation Building. When you arrive, be sure to pick up your number from the Recreation Office. Refreshments will be available on a first come, first serve basis. We will also have some coloring sheets for children. No fee.
Saturday, October 28th

I think this is a pretty full itinerary for this weekend right here at the campground. Of course there's all the excellent entertainment in the area such as Legends, Alabama Theater, The Palace, Dixie Stampede and the Carolina Opry.
Come and see the building of the Hard Rock Amusement Park. By the time ya'll get here the roller coaster should be just about put together. It's going to be called the Led Zeppelin coaster. There is a back stage tour you can take which is free.
Our other theme restaurants at the beach are NASCAR Cafe, Hard Rock, House of Blues, Planet Hollywood and a host of others.
There are 2 Camping Worlds, a Bass Pro Shop, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing and so much more.
Golfing .. forget about it!
Right near the campground is the ever popular Crabby Mikes and the "Cow Store". Wal*Mart, Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, Circuit City, Michaels, Costco and the Coastal Grand Mall are all within 15-20 minutes to the campground.
Come one come all .... we'll have a load of fun! So far we have 10 sites BUT it is a BIG campground with plenty of room.
Our focus for Saturday evening would be to have a potluck dinner but we could also go out! What would you guys like to do?

Glad you took the ball and ran with it! Sounds like a good time to be had.Our 6 year old grand daughter who lives at Surf Side Beach will be spending at least one night with us and I know some of these activities will be of interest to her.

Mike,
A tip of my hat and big 'atta boy' to you for grabbing this opportunity and running with it, the Southeast Region is in need of something such as this to get it up an rolling again. A lot of our members have been looking for some organized activities in the eastern part of the region and this may be exactly what they want.
I've taken the liberty to place a 'shortcut' to this thread in the Florida Boomers' forum and a link to it in an Appalachian Campers thread, perhaps a few of these folks would like to join in on this exciting and fun filled weekend.
Again, great job and your presentation of it is top notch!

You are more than welcome to use our RV Pad. 6 Way Hookup includes W-Fi. For references see MikeT and Captain Bud. The best part is that it's FREE. Consider joining us T-Day! I can see it now, 2 retired guys passed out on the couch, overdosed on triptophan while trying to watch the Lions.
Once based here we can tour anywhere on the Grand Strand which is only on average 18 miles from Conway.

Just tell them you are with the IRV2 rally. We made our reservations today and will get in on Thursday so we'll have plenty of time to visit with our daughter's family as well as everyone else. <span class="ev_code_RED"> Update on site information:</span>
The sites are: 2140-2145 & 2156-2159. This forms a 10 site block across the street from one another if you check the map.
I have included the change in the header announcement above. There's also a link that will show a map of the 2000 series sites.

<span class="ev_code_RED"> Update on site information:</span>
Here's as complete of information as I have at this time. We just reserved our site for $50. The balance on the site is: $43.24. We got 1 of the 3 cee-ment sites. $5.00 bucks x-tra per nite.
Get yours now if ya want one.
When you call ...
Site Number // Reservation Number // Size
<LI> <STRIKE>2140 4289084</STRIKE> 40x36 (C) (doc)
<LI> 2141 4289083 46x35
<LI> 2142 4289082 46x40
<LI> <STRIKE>2143 4289081</STRIKE> 45x38 (C) (DriVer)
<LI> 2144 4289080 46x43
<LI> <STRIKE>2145 4289079</STRIKE> 46x31 (diandtom)
======================== (across the street)
<LI> <STRIKE>2156 4289078</STRIKE> 45x31 (C) (Dee)
<LI> 2157 4289077 48x36
<LI> <STRIKE>2158 4289076</STRIKE> 47x40
<LI> 2159 4289074 53x35
========================
(C) = Cement pad. $5 surcharge per nite.
The sites fees as far as I can figure will cost you, $93.24 for a cement pad or $88.24 for a regular site. All sites are 5 way hook up. If you're arriving early or staying late and want to stay on the same site negotiate that with your reservation agent at the time of booking.
Here's how to reserve your site:
Call reservations at: 800-722-1451
Give them the " Reservation" number for the site "you" have selected. They might ask you if they should change the reservation "name" from iRV2 to "your" last name. Say yes. Pay via credit card over the phone and you can also get X-Press Check in credentials. Just drive up to the guard house and show your parking pass and come on right on in. No need to get in a check in line.

We registered today. Going to be on the conrete at site 2140. Since I need to catch up on seafood at Murrells Inslet, we are staying an extra night.
Nance's Seafood has great oysters and should be getting prime that far into the season.
