HI,
This is Mrs. dc6mech, our daughter and I made a run to downtown Atlanta on Marta on Monday to see how it went. Marta cost is $1.75 one way or $3.50 round trip. No charge for parking. Everything was in walking distance from the Marta station. The World of Coke and CNN both cost $8.00 or $9.00 for seniors. Underground Atlanta has a food court and lots of restaurants. Renee and I ate at Johnny Rockets but it cannot handle large groups.
The last three days have been beautiful, in the low 70's.
Looking forward to seeing everyone. Drive carefully.
Jacki

I just pulled the fiver out the shed. A few more things and we will be ready to go. We plan to leave Wednesday and stop somewhere along the way. I am trying to do what I can today as we are expecting rain tomorrow and Wednesday.

I posted this under another forum also, but maybe someone else heading in the same direction to the rally could help. We are leaving tomorrow, taking two days to get to Stone Mountain heading west on I 20.Anyone have a recommendation as to a Welcome Center, rest area, quiet Wal-Mart or cheap easy in,easy out campground to sleep over? Thanks for any help. We won't be leaving until at least 10am or later so will keep checking back until then.

Hi Y'All
Plans have changed, we will be at SMP on Wed instead of Thur. Right now we are in a campground in Commerce,GA. BOY was that rain something today or what !!! Hey Rich maybe if you see this before you leave you could print us a discount ticket, since I don't have a printer for my laptop! From what I am hearing the weather should be good for us on the weekend, just some showers on Wed.

See Y'All in 1 Day
