I have booked 14 sites at the Mayberry Campground in Mount Airy, NC for an Appalachian Campers' Spring Rally. The dates for the event will be April 17-19, 2009 with early bird arrival available.

We'll have the entire row of sites near the shelter where we can meet and have our dinners and campfires.

There is no need for a deposit, just call 336 789-6199, make reservations with Lynn and tell them you are with iRV2.

Please post here when you've decided to come and we'll add you to the list, after you've called and made a reservation we'll add a by your name.

For stuff to see and do in Mt. Airy, go to the Visit Mt. Airy Website. Directions to find the campground are on the Mayberry CG website.

If you have the room, bring firewood for the campfire, we'll need one!

Here's our tentative Menu for the weekend:
  • Friday Night -- Hot Dog Roast on the campfire. Bring your own dogs, buns, and beverage along with a side dish to pass such as beans, chips, slaw, potato salad, desert, etc.
  • Saturday Night -- Pot Luck Dinner. Bring a meat and a side dish to pass and your own beverage.
  • Sunday Night -- Order in Pizza Night. Bring your own drinks, we'll order pizza to be delivered to the CG. (Per person cost to be determined based on number of participants divided into the total pizza bill.)
Here's the sign up list:
  1. "Hitchhiker" -- Richard and Sylvia
  2. Colette and Joe"
  3. "Tom N" -- Tom and Sandy
  4. "jimandsandy" -- Jim and Sandy
  5. "Bill & Nancy"
  6. "igor2brvn" -- Earl and Bettye
  7. "ColleenP" -- Mike and Colleen
  8. "Freebird23" -- Bill and Juanita
  9. "lthrnk" -- Mike and Janet
  10. "Walt & Genie"
  11. Don & Kay
  12. "machman72" -- Steve and Renna
  13. "Lynnvt" -- Lynn and George
  14. "Al" -- Al Riccio
  15. Bill & Norma Anderson
  16. "doc" -- doc and Ms Carol

I think I can get a few more sites if they're needed, let me know if you want in.

= Reservations at campground made.

WE WILL BE THERE THIS TIME !!!!
I was very disappointed we could not make the Oct-Nov weekend with DiandTom, but the spring rally will be set in stone.

Bill and I truly hope we can make more irv2 rallys this year.

Glad it's set in stone, looking forward to camping with y'all again. I put your name on the list, let me know when you call the CG for a reservation and I'll add the next to it.

FWIW, the CG doesn't charge an upfront deposit to make a reservation, tell them your with the iRV2 group and they have 14 sites already blocked out. They'll put your name on one.

Bill & Brenda,

We'd love to have you drop in, we welcome all iRV2 members and have been known to recruit several RV'rs who just happened to be camping where we're having a rally. May I add your name to the list?

Let me check out our schedule - we are in Maryland right now - heading to Florida 1 December. Then off to Texas for March - we pass through Maryland going either north or south to visit daughter/grandson so I need to see what the dates look like. we need to be in Maine around the 3rd week of April or so - looks like NC would fit as long as the DW doesn't have other plans.

Richard,

Hopefully you will be reading this soon and back on your feet full time. Hang in there - I had by-pass about 4.5 years ago (5 way replacement) and after everything healed up I think I'm as good as new - probably better.

On the rally at Mayberry count us in - we will probably arrive a couple of days early - still need to work out the trip details. Looking forward to it.

Get well..................

Bill
