St Petersburg FL campground for adults in their 40s

Hello all.
We are going to move to st Pete to semi -retire. We are having issues finding a campground that is not 55+ ( we are in our mid 40s) and allow dogs. We would like the adult communities. We plan on making the move in February 2016. Any suggestions?

I suspect it's going to be very difficult to locate an RV park that is not 55+ AND is an adult community. That contradicts itself.

It's north of St. Pete, but still in Pinellas County... Dunedin Carefree RV resort. We live nearby and know several retired couples who live there as well as a few families who live there. They generally seem to have a good set of activities and it's always very clean. Carefree has at least a few more parks in Pinellas county.

One benefit of the Dunedin location (beyond being near Dunedin which is a fun little town) is that the front of the park hosts the Blue Moon Inn so if you have guests come and visit you don't have to put them up in your place.

If you find one you like, call them and explain your situation. Assuming you're not bringing children with you they may be able to make an exception.

We own in a central Florida park and from a legal standpoint statue requires us to certify that a certain percentage of our properties have someone in residence that is at least 55, it is not 100% but I don't remember what it was.

We found one in St Petersburg. Roberts RV on Gandy Blvd. Just have fingers crossed that it turns out to be a decent park. Got a good rate and it's a convenient location. That's for all the information everyone.

We store our RV at Roberts. And my patents have wintered there twice.

A couple notes. You are on the southern approach of St Pete Clearwater airport. Not a ton of traffic but it is used by shippers and coast guard. Also there is a trap shooting club next door. So it's not supper quiet.

Some of the sites are not berry big so choose wisely.

There's a KOA in St. Pete. On the 55 age thing? I would say at least 50% are not 55 and over!
