We will be visiting family in White Bluff, TN in late May and haven't been there with the new MH yet. Looking for advice from any of you who are familiar with the area on campgrounds, preferably 50 amp full hook-up, or at least elect/water. Are thinking about Montgomery Bell, but website says sites good only for up to 32', we are 35'. Any help would be apreciated.

Rob, White Bluff is west of Nashville and I do not know that area very well. I would call them and tell them what you have and need and see what they say. Sometimes site have been added or upgraded long before the guides reflect the changes. Ken, '04 DSDP

You might measure the length of your RV from the back tires to the front of the RV so you know how big a pad you would actually sit on. We stayed at Tim's Ford SP and the pads are small with a drop off the back side (anywhere from 1 ft to 15 ft drop). We were there in our pop-up but measured several spots (and noted them down in our notebook) that we could squeeze our 40ft bus into if we leave the back 7 ft or so hanging out there in the air. You may be able to do the ssame. But sometimes the size limits are because the turns either into or inside the campground are too tight for the longer RV's to squeeze in. Usually the campgrounds have been upgraded to accomodate the larger RV's but the listings/websites don't say the newer sizes. It a common thing with the public campgrounds.

Hi, We stayed at Montgomery Bell in 1999 and we loved it we had a wonderful time. I would thing the sites or some of them would be able to accomodate you here's a pic of our site and we had a pop up with a truck and our screen tent set up on it and had plenty of room. I've enclosed a link to 2 pics we have of our site and one of the lake at Mtg Bell. They have a lodge there that we were able to use also that had a pool and an enclosed pool and a hottub Mtg Bell is about 20 - 30 minutes (40 Miles)from Nashville so we visited Nashville several times that week and it's about the same distance to Cookeville, Tn we always went to Dixon to buy groceries or shop. It was a beautiful camping area, they have some old church and stuff on their property and walking trails. We even went up to the Main Ranger Office for a birdwatching demonstration It is kinda in the middle of nowhere there is really nothing else there. So if you're wanting to do other things expect to drive a good ways. There's several nice campgrounds at Nashville so you might consider staying there that probably allow bigger rigs.

You'll have to click and paster this and I think to view the pics you have to enter some registration info. Hope they help some. http://www.snapfish.com/share/p=6691...=SYE/otsi=SALB
