We will be at Elkmont in the Smoky Mtn national park June 17-23, 2007. Anyone else going to be around?
I will keep checking to see what weekend if any is done for Racoon Holler. 1st of June we have some plans we will have to see what pans out.

Camilla and I would love to go, but we are working the first 2 Saturdays in June. We also need to save up to buy diesel for our trip to the national rally. The fuel is going to cost more than the camping and all of the other activites put together. We thought about driving Camilla's diesel VW Beetle to Branson and renting a camping cabin. The VW gets 45 mpg. compaired to 10.5 for the truck. I decided that the VW would probaly not hold all of the things that we will need for the week out there.
We will make it to another Appalachian rally sometime. We sure did enjoy the one at Dianne and Tom's.

Thanks for the invite, Richard. We would love to get up to that neck of the woods, but we have to be in St. Petersburg the week before, and in Orlando the week after. Whenever we go that far north, we like to at least take a couple of weeks taking things slow.
We are, however, aiming for Meadows of Dan for a two-night stay on our way to PEI in mid July. (It takes two days to load up on fudge at Nancy's candy factory and maybe a pork chop sandwich down in Mount Airy.)

Anyone have other suggestions?

I think I will go to Racoon Hollar 5/18 thru 5/21. I have heard good things about the campground and it's about 45 minutes from Tweetsie Railroad. That's not bad in Atlanta terms and the view is better!
Anyone is welcome to come visit!

Looks like this died from a lack of anyone interested or able to come. I'll close this thread so we can move on to something else.
