Hey, Guys:

Thought I better spill the beans right now so you'll have plenty of time to gather your material for Rock Crusher, Lou, Jim, Ralphie, Derek ... and the list goes on!

After taking delivery of our coach at LD, we spent two nights and planned to take it for a test drive the day we were leaving.

So, off to the roads we go, with the Salesman riding shotgun. Everything ran well and it was a beautifully smooth ride.

When we returned to the "delivery" campground site, the Salesman insisted on giving Ron back-up directions, because he said the spaces were tight and every rig had a tow vehicle in front of it.

Long story short, the Salesman signaled Ron to back up and he clipped the tow bar on another car, owned by a new MH customer like us.

BAD NEWS is we now have two boo boos near the steps. One is the size of a 50 cent piece and the other is the size of a 50 cent piece and a quarter. Poor Ron. He was so mad at himself.

Anyhow, to shorten this story some, and to share the GOOD NEWS .... There was no damage to the other car. They had a leather cover on their tow bar, and that was cut. Lazy Days is going to replace it at no charge to them.

Also, there was an RV instructor who witnessed the entire incident and he indicated that it was the fault of the Salesman, because he was standing on the wrong side of the coach to be able to give instructions. Ron doesn't buy that though, because in his words, "Ultimately, it was my responsibility, and I shouldn't have relied on someone else's judgement."

Well, more GOOD NEWS ... Lazy Days did think it was the Saleman's fault and they are paying for the body work which totaled almost $1,000!

What a relief! We had just paid PROGRESSIVE for a year's RV insurance the day before the accident. If we would have filed a claim, we would have the deductible to pay, plus I'm sure they wouldn't have wanted us for customers after filing a $1,000 claim the day after we bought the insurance.

The worst part is that this could have cut into my Wal-Mart trips at the rallies which in my mind is an Olympic Event!

OK Guys. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. I'm just glad I wasn't driving and having to face you guys.

See you in a couple of days. We're arriving on Wednesday so we have an entire day to back up the coach and see how many trees we can avoid. We'll be in good hands because Janice and Ralphie will be there.

Love ya,
Cheri
