Some have expressed an interest in this campground in Mount Airy,NC.I can get 12 sites for Oct. 31 - Nov. 2, 2008. We are staying here now and it is very nice. They have a shelter where we can meet and have a dinner. This is a new campground and still a "work in progress"they will have new picnic tables at the sites by then. There is no need for a deposit, just call 336 789-6199,make reservations and tell them you are with IRV2. www.mayberrycampground.com Please let us know when you make your reservations. thanks!
To see what there is to see and do in Mount Airy go to www.visitmayberry.com Unfortunately the campground doesn't have anything planned for Halloween. If you click on the Mayberry Campground link they give very good directions to find the campground.

Note:If you have the room to bring it and have any available, please bring firewood for the campfire,we'll need one!

Friday night-Potluck-soup,stew,chili or dessert

Saturday-weather permitting Pumpkin bowling

Saturday night-Pig picking and potluck-side dish of your choice

The closer we get to the time the more information will be added.

tentatively going

I did reserve 12 sites Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 so let me know if you are interested. This is a very nice campground with full hookups, WIFI and cable TV. There was a bunch of dates taken so they why I reserved these. We would like to have a meeting sometime in the fall. I don't think we should wait any longer to have a rally as it can get cold in Mount Airy. We can also use a pig cooker that they have. I have not cooked a pig in over twenty years but we could try it.

We will be at this campground the end of this month, for a long weekend. Thanks for the tip, and if we can work it out we would love to get back here for the get together in the Fall.

We're interested, sounds like a great weekend and nice campground. Our only snag is my son has something tentatively set up in VA that we're committed for which may occur that weekend, otherwise we'd be a definite.

I'll put it on our calendar and if the family issue doesn't interfere we'll be there.

Regards,
Richard and Sylvia
