Weather Down South in the Fall

We are going on our first long trip, dogs and all. I am wondering what the weather will be like in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and such. I seem to run warm, Hubby runs cool. Long sleeves, jeans and sweatshirts? or Short sleeves and shorts? We will be there in starting early October in Kentucky, finishing New Mexico at the end. (then home to northern California) Also, what about condensation/heat in the TT with the dogs?

While taking long sleeves, lightweight jacket, long jeans is smart, you are far more likely to need shorts/T-shirts.

For much of the south, cool weather tends to finally appear in Mid October with nights finally getting to high 50ís, days in the 70ís. Really cold doesnít happen til Jan. I usually end up wearing short sleeves in Dec.

Go on weather.com and you can look at the average temps for those areas for those months.

Not a problem with Fall. it will be here in N Georgia in a couple of weeks. . . it will remain as hot as a two dollar pistol until close to the end of the month

Here in Tennessee, highs are in the 90's lows in the 60's thru end of September.
October is a little cooler.

I will say that depending on where you are in NM, the high desert mountain areas along I-40 can get pretty chilly at night in October/November. We went thru there in 2017 and nighttime temps (Gallup) were in the low 30's.
