I am a bit of a newbie here but has anyone ever done this for regional rally idea?

Ed says FL throws this "equation" off so question should be how many members in each state? Guessing more in Central to North FL anyway.

Great idea, Kate.

Finding the geographical center of North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, & Tennessee shouldn't be too difficult to accomplish. A few measurements on a map and we'd have it. But, finding out how many registered (or active) members reside in those states is next to impossible. We don't require that data when registering, it's an optional field.

We have many members who choose not to fill in the state field. Also, our software package (purchased from Groupee) doesn't offer such a report of those who did fill the state in.

For past rallies we've just picked a nice place to camp and started a thread stating the details and those interested would sign up. We've had some good rallies with the Appalachian Campers.

Just a thought as like many if still working and/or with kids timing and travel location especially important.
