Hi all,
Hey Pete,
I don't know what you will have with you in the toy hauler, but Ocean Lakes will not let you ride a motorcycle in the park!! You have to either leave it up front in a parking area for them! Or if you want to have it at your site you have to walk it to and from!! I don't know about the other parks and M/C rules! With that being said Ocean Lakes is still a verry nice park and I will stay there again, but just thought I would pass on that info! Have a great time no matter where you end up staying!! Also Congrats on retirment, this is my 5th winter retired in Fla and loven it !!!

AL, The way folks get around that is that they tow the MC rider with a rope using a golf cart.

Pete, See post #45. Not that big of a problem although a bit inconvenient. Ocean Lakes is an all electric park other than cars & trucks.

Driver, That works ok if there is more then one of you and you have rope & golfecart! & Yes I know Ocean Lakes rents golfcarts!
But for me I would have to park it up front and drive Jeep up & back!
Pete, I also stayed at Myrtle Beach State Park and enjoyed it very much also, Good Luck!!

Al, That's right. You would have to walk or get a ride since there aren't any shuttles to the front of the park.
I just wanted to mention it as an option for other folks that might be able to do the golf cart tow rope deal. At least Ocean Lakes security won't stop people from towing a bike around the park and as some folks won't let their bike out of sight.
During bike week there are hundreds of bikes in the parking lots and Ocean Lakes has even provided a pickup truck ramp so bikers can unload them from the bed of their trucks. Bikers do love to camp here and they put up with some inconvenience and make it work.
That said, I believe that all the other campgrounds in Myrtle Beach allow motorcycles.

There's Ocean Lakes and then there's every other park on the beach.
Believe me there aren't really any bad parks here since Myrtle Beach is the Mecca of East Coast camping. The owners of the parks are very mindful of that and they do a pretty good job.
There are at least 3 other mega parks directly on the ocean and then there are 2 state parks right on the ocean.
Lakewood RV Resort (*)
Pirateland (*)
Myrtle Beach KOA
Apache Campground (*) fishing pier
Myrtle Beach Travel Park
Briancliff RV Resort
Myrtle Beach State Park (*) fishing pier
Huntington Beach State Park (*)
The main attraction here is the Atlantic Ocean so if you have not been here go for the ocean parks. (*)

Willow Tree is my top pick for Myrtle Beach, 30 minutes from the ocean and the biggest cleanest sites you have ever seen.....
