I just clicked on the Appalachian Camper link in my Favorites and it came up invalid. Did I miss something? Is the Florida Boomers now the only subcategory in the Southeast Forum?

The Appalachians are alive and well in the Southeast Forum....

Richard and Sylvia have been away the past week and I am sure he will be checking in here in a day or so...
They've been in a Forest Service campground without internet for the past week.

I have a suggestion for anyone interested. We will be on our way to a Titanium Owners Rally and will be stopping over at Meadows of Dan, VA for at least two nights leaving from there no later than the morning of July 14. This might fit in with anyone heading west to Branson for the national iRV2 rally. If there's any interest, we could arrive at M of D earlier. We can bring our BlongoBall (excuse me, Timberlake Toss) game.

Hi Dave,

Yes, the Appalachian Campers' sub-category was deleted and the one and only thread in it was moved to the Southeast Region Forum. Apparently it never caught on, all new posts were being made in the Southeast Forum and I was creating links to them in the sub-category. As Bob (Rebelsbeach) alluded, all our posts and threads are still where they always were, in the Southeast Region Forum.

Wish we could do Meadows of Dan with you but by that date we should already be in Branson, I have an early arrival date of July 12 arranged with the CG.

Y'all have a great trip.

Hi Dave & Sportsman
Let us know when you can arive at M. of Dan and we will try to come and anyone else is welcome, we might just have a little mid summer Rally in the Mountins of Va. We would like any one to come and join in on the Mountians and the Park Way of the Blue Ridge Mts.

I'm still working on our itinerary for the Canadian Maritimes portion of our trip. But the way it looks now, we would have to leave Meadows of Dan no later than July 14. That may have to be moved a day or two earlier, depending on some of the info I'm waiting for from Nova Scotia. At this point, a mid week get together around July 11 would work for us.

Hi all, something to consider from Nova Scotia's current Tourism website updated 10th May
For your safety, comfort and enjoyment we encourage you to use our fine assortment of campgrounds. We ask you not to camp or park your camping vehicle overnight in any area that is not designated as a campground (e.g. parking lots, shopping malls and beach areas). It is illegal to camp indiscriminately

Thanks for the tip. I've been reading about this issue on a couple of forums.

We see this type of "camping" frequently in our area during the snowbird season. I respect folks just needing a place to nap for a few hours, but around here at our local Wal-Mart, we've seen rigs with the slides and awnings out, carpet on the parking lot, and barbeque going. Also have seen the same thing across the country all the way to Alaska. And this is folks with high end rigs. Personally, if there's a campground nearby, as there generally is (we've always managed to find one), I'd rather be there than saving a few bucks parked at Wal-Mart.

We're more than happy to abide by the local regs.
