Based on opinions and comments at the Luau, I have looked into the possibility of going back to Ft Bellefonte.

I contacted Fort Bellefonte and only the weekend of September 10 thru 12, 2010 is available.

We can have the same sites we had last fall when we were there.

The cost is $38 per night which includes full hook up with cable TV.

I am requesting each member or anyone interested to respond either yes or no on holding a campout on the specified dates at Ft. Bellefonte.

I realize it is early, but I must lock in the sites within 2 weeks.

I will handle all reservations and provide details after we see how many will plan on attending.

Please respond to my email address as well as here.

Thank you

Thank you for the overwhelming positive response.

All of the available sites are now reserved.

I am working with the Ft Bellefonte manager to see if we can get at least one or 2 more sites. This may be difficult since the Penn State football season will have started and many fans either stay there all season or leave their RV's there.

If you did yet respond, but may want to attend, please contact me directly by email.

Early Fall Mid-Atlantic Campers Campout

Folks we are sold out. All sites are reserved. If someone would really like to join us, I might be able to get one or two more sites, but there is no guarantee. The problem is that it will be Penn State football season and even though it is an away game weekend, the football fans leave their RV's there for the season and some live there the whole season.

Thanks so much to everyone who quickly signed up. Your checks are due August 25. We now have a full contingent including visitors from Maine who will spend the weekend with us.

A Big Welcome to Bill & Brenda De Mattia !!!

So here are the details...Any questions will be answered ASAP by email or you can call me at 814-237-9509.

Sept 10 - 12, 2010

Ft Bellefonte Campground
Jacksonville Rd
Bellefonte, PA 16823

Once again we will enjoy the scenery and early fall atmosphere at the Ft Bellefonte Campground.

A map is attached showing the location just North of I-80, exit 161 on RT 26 North.

Be careful upon your entrance into the campground. The rise of the road ahead limits your sight distance, so extra caution is suggested.

Also campers coming from the East via RT 322.......DO NOT use Rt 144 through Centre Hall. This is a very dangerous road and the mountain climb and decent is one of the worst you can travel...there is a 10 Ton weight limit for trucks, so heed the warning! Instead take Rt 322 West to I-99 North which joins I-80 and RT 26 North.

Sites have been pre-assigned to try and accommodate those desiring 50 Amp hook-ups. As you arrive we may have to juggle a few site assignments if your rig is a bit longer than believed...no big deal as we do have enough space to move around.

When you arrive please check-in at the office and then follow the map provided.

Site Assignments (Please note your site type)

Dave & Pat Anderson #70 Pull-Thru (See Note 1 below)
George & Peggy Koelsch # 67 Pull-Thru
Rick Koelsch #27 (50 Amp) Back-in
Bob & Carol Minnich #64 Back-in
Scott and Linda Pierce #69 (50 Amp) Pull-Thru
Jim & Mem Petriello #29 (50 Amp) Pull-in
Bill & Nora Stewart # 65 Pull-Thru
Ted & Judy Trostle #66 Pull-Thru
Steve & Pat Yagceic #68 (50 Amp) Pull-Thru
Bill & Brenda De Mattia #26 Pull-in

Note 1: Dave, you should pull into your site from the street. Your hook-up is next to Site 69.

Each site is a full hook up with cable TV. The campground has free WI-FI.

Meals

Friday Night - Dinner at the Hublersburg Inn

Saturday - Pot Luck Breakfast

Saturday Dinner - Pot Luck. Ted & Judy will provide BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches. Please bring a covered dish, salad, etc.

Sunday - Pot Luck Breakfast

Saturday Night Chinese Auction !! (bring a wrapped inexpensive gift)

Local Activities - Maps and info should be available upon arrival.

Bellefonte Downtown Historic District

Bellefonte Farmers Market

Pleasant Gap Fish Hatchery Tour

Military Museum Tour in Boalsburg $$

Penn State Creamery $$ (Peachy Paterno is the best !!)

Penns Cave $$

Penn State Arboretum (new and excellent)

Steve why is it called POT LUCK?...I think the word luck has a lot to do with it. We will provide pulled pork sandwiches for Sat dinner, so other's need to bring something to share.

For the breakfast pot lucks we will be doing the rolls and french toast thing.

Check in anytime after 12 Noon.

Everyone needs to stop at the office to confirm their arrival. If you are towing a car pick up a car pass.

I will be at our assigned site area to assist directing everyone into their site...recheck the map and your site #.
