I would like to suggest that we can hold these affairs almost any where in our region or beyond.

As we know variety brings enjoyment and fun. So while I can happily set up our reunions to be held in PA, surely the members know of places in other states we could enjoy. So please make some suggestions that we can base future events upon.

Please note that for those of us who STILL have to work, location will determine if we attend or not. More than 2 hours travel from home will definitely deter attendance. Please don't let this be a limiting factor, just letting you know in advance.

If the location is attractive enough, I will take a day off to go, if necessary. Deb is more limited in her options as she does not get time off from her teaching job.

it is not exotic but how about here in Pine Hill near Kutztown? In May Dorney Park is open weekends. Cabela's is 10 miles down the road. Reading is a stones throw away. Thre is a big enough hall if we need it.

I'll just be getting back from Texas the beginning of May

Hi,

My DH and I organized a rally at Pine Hill for the Cardinal RV Club this past May and it was wonderful! The owners were very accommodating. We were able to get nice sites all together, we used the pavillion for a pot luck supper, and because we had more than ten sites we all received a 10% site discount. I would highly recommend holding a rally there.

Ted

It is just outside Kutztown right off of I-78 between exits 40 and 45. It is very easy to get to. Only about 8-10 miles West from the PA Turnpike Northeast Extension and I-78 intersection.

It is the CG I stay at.

John thanks. I checked their web site. It looks like a great place to hold the 2010 Spring Rally.

Do you want to take the lead?

Sure. I'll check with Pam (owner) this afternoon when I go pick up my mail for a good weekend in May. I'll be optomisitc and go for 10-15 sites for now.

Sounds good to me. We discuss this at the Fall rally this October.

if we stick with the 3 day holiday weekend then Rick wont be subjected to his 2 hr driving limit. I remember when I used to leave work and drive our rid to Boston for a Dog Show on Saturday morning, never thought a thing about it. I agree with Ted, we do need to expand our locations to try to accomadate others. Besides I like new things myself.

I have 12 sites on hold for the weekend of May 21, 2010. This is the weekend BEFORE Memorial day weekend. Right now they're held for 2 nights (Fri. and Sat.). If y'all want to make it 3 nights I can go up and tell her.

6 sites have 30A or 50A, the other 6 are 30A only. All have water, sewer and cable. All sites are very roomy. We will have the rec hall if weather dictates. At this point we are looking at roughly $ 40.00 per night. We'll get a discount if we use more than 10 sites. There is a large space between A24 and A25 and a large field behind A25-A27. Good place for our activities and campfires.

If anyone wants to checkout the web page it is: http://pinehillrvpark.com/ We will have sites A22 thru A27 (all 30A), B17 thru B19 and C17 thru C19 (30/50A).

Cabela's is 11 miles west. Dorney Park is about 12 miles east. Reading is about 15 miles south. Hawk Mountain is close by too, not sure how many miles, if anyone is interested in watching for migratory birds. And Steve's favorite Cheese Steak/French Fry restaurant is about 12 miles away on Rt. 61.

Let me know what y'all think.
