Is maryland part of mid-Atlantic

We are new to the site and was wondering where Md. fit in the regions?

Depends where you are in MD, I think. Technically its south of the Mason-Dixon line but growing up in Baltimore in the 60's, we were considered Northerners. But folks on the Eastern Shore considered themselves Southerners. Not sure how that works out in 2012, live in Chicago now but still go back when we can.
