WE are now in Bellafonte at the KOA. We have now spent a week in Pa. concetrating in the Laurel Highlands so far. Great stuff. Your suggestions of Fallingwater, Johnstown Inclined Plane and Flood Museum have all been visited and enjoyed. We added the Fl 93 crash site, Seldom Seen Coal Mine Tour, Somerset Art Festival, lots of driving in the area (rode to the top of Mt. Baker), the 9 alive rescue site (real interesting narrative from the actual property owner of the rescue site). The next few days will be spent in the State College area. We see lots of interesting things here in addition to the creamery.

Thanks for all the input.

From here we will head for Erie and then across the North of the state and down the East side.

We are now near Erie, Pa. Presque Isle state park is having an annual festival this weekend. We have driven the Penninsula and the town a bit.
spent today at a Scottish Festival at Edinboro University. Hot and humid with thunderstorms all around slows down the visitation schedule. We plan on a Presque Bay boat tour and a day trip to Titusville and Oilville before heading for Warren Pa and the national forest. Then on to the Grand Canyon.

We did ride the incline. Had a great lunch at the top at City View.

We are impressed with the diversity of Penn. and the care most of rural Penn residents take with their property.

Erie has some good stuff going for it but a lot of trouble as well it seems.

WE are now sitting on a hill in the Poconos north of Scranton enjoying the cool air and mountain breezes. We have traveled across the scenic Rt 6 of Penn. We are on our way to the Delaware Gap region next week and then will finish our trip in the SE corner of the state. thanks to all of the people who made suggestions on where to go. We have really enjoyed to diversity of the state and the different types of areas to experience. We are impressed with the rural nature of much of the state. I don't think most folks realize the small town nature of the state when thinking of Penn. The Wellsboro/Grand Canyon experience was breathtaking. There is just one thing I am looking forward to as we begin heading back towards the Mason Dixon line and flat country. That thing would be straight flat roads. Those do not seem to exist in Penn.
