Hi All:

About seven years ago I used to belong to the Mid Atlantic Group. There was a bunch of us that used to get together. I recently got back into Rving and rejoined the Mid Atlantic Group. But it doesn't seem like anybody from original group still exists, except Scottsjourney. Hi Scott.... Look at page #3 for some of our get togethers.

Does anybody from this current group ever get together for say a week end camping trip? Not much chatter in this section? Hmmmm maybe I am barking up the wrong tree?

I'd be interested. Live in VA and looking for good folks to interact occasionally. I'm solo and looking forward to dragging the trike instead of the car a few times.

Welllllllll I was contacted by ScottP and we are talking about putting something together in the Gettysburg area.

So if there is anyone else interested in a weekend get away for the Mid Atlantic region drop us a line here and maybe we can put something together.

I am just wrapping up a 6 day trip to the coast of Maine.

Has anyone ever been to the festival in Portland Maine..????? Man that is crazy with like over 100K people showing up in a 20 block radius. Not to mention the beautiful Maine rocky coast line and the delicious Lobsters..

Hi Jim,
I'm glad to see someone here trying to put something together. Have you considered a date or schedule for Gettysburg? I was there 3 years ago in June with grandkids and enjoyed the history lessons and seeing the battlefields. I'm going to the Maine cost in late August for a week. It beautiful there and cooler that time of year.

The DW, me, and the dog would definitely be interested. We still have the limitations of working full time, but if the schedule works out and the stars align we are in! We too are in thw winchester va area!

Hi Guys:

Ok here is the skinny. Scott & I and our wives are getting together in Gettysburg. All are welcome to join us.
We will be camping at Gettysburg Campground, 2030 Fairfield Rd. Gettysburg Pa 17325. Phone 717-334-3304. You will have to call and make reservations.

The dates are July 23, 24, 25, leaving on the 26th. That is a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday leaving on Friday. We will be on site 63 and 64. We are retired and decided for mid week rather than a rushed weekend.

If you like to join us you all are welcome. I have a Tiffin Allegro Open Road with a FCMA plate #416868 on back ladder.

That sounds like a good time next week but I'm not retired yet so have to pass this time. Thank you for the open invitation and please share your trip experience afterwards. Safe travels and enjoy!

Hi Guys:

That's ok we will do it again. Like I said Scott & I are both retired so it was easier for us for this first get together.
My wife and I are planning a six week vacation next year out west. The National Park thing and all the goodies.
We are also going to West Virgina in October for a Tiffin rally for about a week. It is at the fairgrounds in WV.
I was thinking maybe a trip to Vermont in August or September. That is the only state on the eastern half of the USA that we have never camped in.

Hey just a thought.... there is the Bloomsburg Fair coming up. There is the Harrisburg RV show coming up, the biggest RV show this side of the Mississippi.

Just some food for thought. You guys got to make the time when you can. I just retired last December 31. I spent 35 years as a Corporate sales Exec. I should of retired sooner.....LOL
