Thanks for a great (although short) weekend. We meandered our way up the Skyline Drive until about 2 PM, then headed over to 81 for the rest of the trip. Stopped for lunch inside Shenandoah NP. Had a deer walk right up to us, about 2 ft. away! The drive was beautiful and the truck handled the 5er in the mountains without effort. We got home at about 6:30 PM.

I replaced the GFCI outlet in the kitchen, but it didn't fix the problem. So, I'll add that to the leaky shower for the dealer to look at when it goes in for the slide topper this week.

Thanks again for a great time everyone! Let's do it again!

WOW!!!! What a great weekend. We too met a lot of nice new people. Good fellowship and memories to treasure.

Bob, out did himself to see that all of us had a good time...KK Doughnuts hit the spot.

We did not have a problem with low voltage and we ran our pump along with the water so neither was a factor at our site...We enjoyed everything about the weekend, I don't know what could have been done to make it any better. Thanks to everyone that made it so.

On the way home (2nd time its happened) the left eye bolt that holds the rock guard snapped and we were dragging the guard by the right bolt when a car came by and blew his horn franticaly. We stopped and I was able to remove the right nut with a pair of pliers and we stored the guard in the toad. AHHHHHH,,,just another project. Thanks again you'all, take care and lets do it again soon. Jimmy and Linda

Bob can sing? Seems like all he did was whine about us picking on him. Sounded more like Charlie Brown.

I did make finally make it up to the Statler's gift shop, it's moved from where the Walnut Hills map showed it...Thanks to folks at the Staunton firehouse, they knew right where it was...
Only issue then was the sign on the door....."Open 11-4...MONDAY through FRIDAY"

Rick....I tend to be more like Linus.

Great time at Walnut Hills - those there saw my unfortunate start before getting there and my run in with the post at a gas station. Thought I'd share a couple of pictures of repairs underway. Hopefully it will be done by this weekend's trip to Grey's point. Lots of clamps

Here's the start of the repairs to the rear storage area accident prior to Walnut Hills.

Bill,

Once you upload the pic, click on it and make it larger while still in the photo gallery...Right click on that pic and go to properties, then copy (make blue) the url address....

Come to the "post a reply" area of the topic you want to post the picture in and then click on the second box from the right,it looks like a picture.
Paste the url in that box and click ok, then click post now.

That does it.....

The best thing about boats is there aren't any gas stations with poles to hit. Got it all done - just need to touch up here and there - will put up some pictures after we get back - gone to Greys Point for the weekend.

Wow I sure loved the pics. I live about an hour from WH and have spent many a weekend and even a full summer there. Tis a shame you guys did not get Larry (CG manager) to cook you some of his home made donuts. We spent this summer in PA so missed you guys (of course did not even know you excisted till just a month ago) Glad you had a good time in my neck of the woods

Just came through I-64 on the way home from points west and it didn't appear to be the weather for camping...

With respect to Walnut Hills, I think they're two trees from being a really nice camping destination.
The "worst" tree issue is the tree at the top left of the upper drive, where you make the left to head toward the uppermost sites on the hill.
I had a 40' coach and it was VERY tight getting turned there...Wouldn't EVEN try it up there with my new 45 footer, would most likely stay down the hill...
