Hi All,
With the Spring Rally behind us, it's time to plan for our Fall Rally.
Our fall rally will be over the Columbus day weekend, Oct 5 - 8th, at the Scenic View Campground, 193 South Main Street, Warren, New Hampshire, 03279. For more information on the campground, check out their web site, their URL: http://www.scenicviewnh.com/. Their web site also lists several area tourist attractions, approximate travel times, and attraction URLs. Check it out..
To register for the rally, telephone the campground (603) 764-9380 & mention you are with IRV2 or the Noreasters.
The campground is holding sites 1 – 26 for us and reservations need to be made no later than June 15th, 2007. BTW, they're giving us a 10% discount
Activities: Group and pot-luck breakfasts and dinners on Saturday and Sunday, more to follow. Friday, Saturday, & Sunday group campfires / gatherings. No organized tours, but there is PLENTY to do, sights to see, and places to visit in the area. And it's the right time of year to see fall foliage!
I'd like to recommend that we follow Doris' suggestion, which is:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> <span class="ev_code_BLUE"> I know we have a few people with allergies and problems to certain foods. With a potluck this big, it's going to be hard to know just what a dish is, or who made it, once we are there and the dish is put out.
I suggest everyone use a folded 3X5 card and put their name and dish name on the front, and the dish ingredients on the inside, and put that in front of their dish for each meal. That will help those who may have a question about a dish, identify the owner and the dish.</span>
</div></BLOCKQUOTE>
We'll have a package for each family, with several local brochures, see us when you arrive. If you're like us and like to plan in advance, here are a couple of web sites you might want to visit before our rally:
Visit NH - http://www.visitnh.gov/ & http://www.visitnh.gov/what-to-do/
White Mountain Attractions – http://www.visitwhitemountains.com/ Check out Things To Do/Attractions http://www.visitwhitemountains.com/d...ubarticlenbr=1
NH Department of Transportation - Travelers Information for info on
- Travel Planning
- Weather Conditions
- Traveler's Alert
http://www.nh.gov/dot/traveler.htm
NH Fish and Game - http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/Links/links.htm
Hope to see you at the rally!
Directions to the Scenic View Campground:
From points south:
Take I-93 north to exit 26 (Plymouth), then 18 miles west on NH Rte 25.
From points north:
Take I-93 south to exit 31, then 14 miles south on NH Rte 118, then left on Rte 25E for two miles
From Vermont:
Take I-91 to exit 15, go right, then take a left on US Rte 5. Follow the sign to Orford, NH, then right on NH Rte 10. Left on NH Rte 25A, and left on NH Rte 25. Go 3 miles to campground
The Campground is on the West side of Route 25
Fire Wood notice, "To prevent the spread of disease in our forests, the State of New Hampshire and the U. S. Forestry Service are asking that no wood harvested from outside NH be brought into the State."
Diesel Fuel – If you'd like information on a small truck stop in Southern NH, with plenty of space to maneuver an RV, please send me a PM, and I'll send you directions. We fuel up close to home, so I don't have information on fuel stops elsewhere in the state.

George and Laraine, It was really great to get to know you and Toby & Tipper. Thanks for stepping up and taking on a rally after only one outing with us. We are really looking forward to seeing you again in the fall.

Tom & Carol, we enjoyed meeting you and the rest of the group. We enjoy getting and being involved, hopefully the fall rally will be as successful as the Spring Rally you helped pull together.
