Glad to hear you will make it Roger. There is a Mardis Gras weekend and dance on their schedule of events. We just confirmed 20 sites. We'll have more information in the coming days. Hope all is well.

Count us in, although I can't reserve until after Feb 21st, because we are off visiting grandkids. We love Deer Run. Let me know what we can do to help..we are pretty close to the campground. What section are our sites in...were we able to get them near the smaller pavilion? It doesn't have a kitchen, but it has an awesome fireplace and lots of room to gather if it's cold.
Bill (vetman), are ya kidding with us LOL? You've been there in the past with RVnet, I believe. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

Wow, already this is looking like a really fun rally! AND it's only been posted for a few days. Who is bringing the beignets?? I have been waiting to try them. Mardi Gras costumes seem to be green, gold, and purple. Feathered masks are also popular. So who can put together the best Mardi Gras costume??

Gil and I (and prob a bunch of kittens) are all signed in for Wednesday to Sunday for now..Marion said we'll have no problems extending it or coming earlier, which we are planning on, if the weather is good and all is well, especially now that I see we wouldn't be alone!
We'll be making Jambalaya for Saturday night.

Not sure yet if I can attend (I'm in college, I have to check class overlaps of the event days).
Quick question...What about pets? I have 11 cats traveling with me. What does this campground's rules say on cats? Anyone know? I can't go anyplace that won't let the cats in. Also, a lot of places say no RVs over 10 years old and mine is knocking on 50 years old. Do they have an RV age limit here? The age of the RV and the cats on board, limit the places I can go, unfortunatly.

It's prob best to check with the campground. I have seen some pretty RV's there..and I think they are more worried about the age, if you were seasonal.
As for the cats (I have had 6 kittens at one time), they have asked me if they are utd on rabies vaccs and have asked me for their rabies cert (and not every time), but since I usually have very young kittens they have understood that they don't have one, so I don't think they usually ask about that. If the cats stay in your RV or are contained when outside, I doubt they will have a problem with that.

Add at least two more to the list (Thurs - Sun). We will be recently back from our trip to New Orleans Jazzfest (4/27 thru 5/12), so the spirits will be high. See you in June.
