October 16- 17th, 2009

Those of you who joined us for a last hurrah at Deer Run know how much fun we had! Well, it's that time to plan this years Last Camping Hurrah get together (for those of us not heading south for lots more camping fun!).
http://www.abdeerrun.com/
I've saved 10 sites through Joanne at Deer Run located 200 Deer Run Drive, Schaghticoke, NY (actually closer to Mechanicsville, NY). The price is $27 a night for full hookups. We are near the small pavilion and once again, we can use it to gather in out of the cold (but bring your winter coats..we need them even in front of the fireplace at night!). It has a nice big fireplace so we will go in on some wood again this year. The campground is pretty much quiet, with the pools and food stand closed, as it's their last weekend open, so we pretty much have it to ourselves, with some seasonal people closing up for the winter.

We ate, we laughed, we played games and just enjoyed the company.

If you want to join us, just call Deer Run at 1-866-333-7462 and let them know you want to sign up for the IRV2 Last Hurrah at Deer Run, or give them my name.

Hope to see some of you there.

Can you burn a face cord of wood in 12 hours? Oh yes you can, we did it last October at Deer Run and had a great time too. We will be there. It was beautiful there last year too.

Okay, I finally made my reservation! We will be there with our friends Ron & Sue. Can't wait to see you guys! Will we be playing "Boxers and Briefs" again?? And what about the big fire??? What do you say Gil? Do we know if the bridge repair is finished? Come on Nor'easters, we had a ball last year and it was a beautiful fall weekend!

Bring your entertainment books. We can use up to three coupons and going out to eat in Saratoga sounds like fun if others want to. I understand their buffet at the racino is really nice, but there are also lots of great restaurants. Looking forward to seeing your new rig. And without the island you'll have lots of floor space to have us all visit LOL!
Who had the boxers and briefs game? I'll bring my wonderful homemade Good Sam Club game (whose name excapes me) with me also.

I think the bridge is fixed..we have been up that way, but forgot to actually notice. Being in a small car you don't tend to pay attention.

Yeah! We are really looking forward to seeing you guys. It's been a year? I think Doris and Gil have some fun places for us to explore. The colors should be beautiful and the campfire will be burning bright!
