Doris haven't been there in years but i hear thru the grapevine that people like it there. Think the last time we were there it was a KOA campground.

I have driven thru this park a couple times. Not impressed. The campsites are built as 'islands', meaning they are built up for where you park your RV. Pretty small spaces.
If you don't mind boondocking try Nicks Lake State Park (it's a DEC park). No hookups, but there are spots right on the lake to park.
Just outside of Old Forge, NY. Reservable thru ReserveAmerica.com.

Ah, so this was the KOA..we have stayed there about 35 years ago. At that time it was very nice. Sounds like they might have added a lot more sites and made them smaller. Of course I had a really tiny trailer way back then.
Nope, no boondocking for me, I like my microwave and TV..but thanks for letting me know what the campground was like.

Doris,
There are a couple of campgrounds in that area. Brett and Andrea stayed at one last year and spoke well of it. Not sure how often they log on with their work schedules, PM, email or give them a call.
