Hi all...
Were going to Bar Harbor June 15th to June 20th staying at the KOA, and then Winslow park in Freeport the 20th and 21st,
Since we have never gone to the Bar Harbor area are there any "must do" things we should check out?
Thanks
John

Lots to do and see. A few of the things we did while we were there: went on a whale watch, took a bus tour (driving tours work well also), drove to Bass Harbor light house, Acadia NP, and walked though a lot of the shops down town Bar Harbor.
If you're going down town, parking can be a challenge, there's a free shuttle bus between the campground and down town, we used that. Also, from down town Bar Harbor, you can catch free shuttles around the island. We took a few of the shuttles just for fun.
Enjoy you trip...

I've been to Bar Harbor many times, you can not go wrong. Bar Harbor KOA is prefect. Winslow's is the campground closet to heaven. Camp site on a clift overlooking the ocean for less then $15 a night when I was there. It is dry camping but bathrooms are very clean. Bring extra water hose to fill your tank from the community taps. No being hooked up takes only a min to dump then right back to your site. You can run a gen a few hrs a day only during there allotted hrs.
