Twin Rivers was one our first fall RV trips back in 1998.

I remember the kids really liked Lost River. You follow the river through a rockpile of caves and passeges.

I hope they have kept the place up if you were there in 1998. Not sure how the wife came up with that location but that is our destination!

The sun ALWAYS comes up too early on vacation!

Tell your wife it's way more romatic to see the sunset from Mt. Washington. That was you can sleep in.

One of the dogs bladder must be hooked to a clock. 5 am it has to potty!! Once that one wakes up the other thinks it's time to play. So, we are early risers!!

We will have the motorcycles with us so our side trips will be done on 2 wheels. I have never been known to be the romantic type or atleast that is what I have been told!!

If you travel by GPS I have a nice 300 mile light house tour my wife and I did in 08 on our bike I can send you. Since you mentioned the bike I'll second the Mt. Washington trip only be sure to hit Hurricane Road on your way there. I have a route file for that as well.

I'm just now noticing these both have the same music
Maine lighthouse tour With a trip up Mt. Washington

A trip to Boston with a trip up Mt. Washington

Great pics!!! The RT is a great bike. We have a friend that floats back and forth between the LT and RT with a GS thrown in every now and then. We do use Garmin GPS's on both bikes. We both are looking forward to the trip ...... now if the weather will play nice, it should be a great trip!!!!

Thanks. I had three RT's that got a lot of long distance use and now we're playing with a K1300GT. It's a real monster!

I read Bath and immediately associated it with Maine and not New Hampshire. You're in the White mountains so you really can't go wrong, just head East from where you are. Rt. 112 almost due east of Bath is a good one to ride as well. There's Crawford Notch and Franconia Notch to the east and you can run Rt. 112 in between the two by heading up to Littleton on 302 then south on 93 to Lincoln then Rt 112 over to Conway and north on 302 to Crawford Notch or split off of 302 to 16 and head for Mt. Washington. We've been up Mt. Washington three times and could only see the view once, the weather up there is really hit and miss. It also turns to dirt above 4400 feet. Hopefully the weather will be nice for the four of us

We're going to be at a place called Pine Acres which is South of you on the border in Massachusetts the first week of September.

We stayed at Smuggler's Notch VT in July of 2003. One of our day trips was to Mt. Washington. When we got there they had barriers saying the road was closed. We were disappointed but continued on and ended up at Cabbot's Creamery. That night while watching the news it showed a sign at the top with ice hanging from it and they said it was 17 degrees and the wind was blowing 70mph.

We are back from our trip. Twin Rivers was a great campground. Although older, it has been well taken care of. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. We did ride the bikes to the top of Mt. Washington, made two trips to Maine for lobster. One was to the Lobster Shack on Two Lights Rd in Cape Elizabeth. That was a nice day trip. Took the tour at Cabot's. Looked at the map and if it said Notch or Gap we went to see it. Ended up with about 1200 miles on the bikes sightseeing. Other than the tolls and bumpy roads it was a good trip!!!!
