Campers world install deal

Just an FYI Camper's world is offering a deal to all good Sam members. Any product installed for $39. I ordered a new three way backup camera system. They honored the internet price I quoted and the $39 install. Can't beat that.
No I don't work for them, (just a math teacher) but loved the deal.

Watch the bait and switch, wanted to charge me $127 for a splitter setup when having a satellite install, caveat emptor as they say.

If so you may be trying to find someone else to correct the work.

That is what I was wondering also, I would assume it is, yet, I hate to assume.

Yes it is Camping World. My mistake. I have never used them before so I am curious as how they will do. The one near my house just opened so no track record. I will keep you posted. It goes in Feb 14th.

With all the negative stuff I have read, I would be interested to hear how you make out. We rarely hear the good stories and I'm sure there must be some of those also.

They replaced my slide toppers right after Christmas for $39 each. Unfortunately I have not extended the slides so I can't say for sure how they did. On the front passenger side, they did charge extra to remove and replace the main awning. They did call and get my approval before hand. Just wish I could get out and test them.

As for the extra charge to remove the awning - technically it was part of the job, couldn't be done without removing it - but I felt it was reasonable. Not quite the same as charging to jack the rear end up - and again to remove amd replace a tire - but couldn't be done without jacking it up.

I have had some good experiences with CW. Depends on the location personnel and management most likely as they do seem to have a uneven service quality record.

So here is my experience with the Camping World $39 install deal. I was schedule to drop off the rig on Feb.14th. They called during the day to remind me. I got it there about 4:30 after I got out of school. We did a walk around to inspect for damage. I knew ahead of time that there might be an additional charge for wiring or to uninstall my old system. I had a B& W system and was upgrading to a color system. They originally asked if they could had it for several days and I said no problem. Well they called me at 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon. Job was done. I went and picked it up and it works great. They were able to modify the dash so the new system fits right where the old triple vision was. System works great and no charge for the uninstall. I did have to pay for a new wire harness since the new one is color. Everything looks great and works just fine.

This was done at the new location in Berkley. ( the old Marty's RV )

Very pleased with the outcome. Based on this experience I will be back there.

Are the employees the old Marty RV employees, Marty has a good ship when in business, took on the Newmar lineup in 2008 but than things took a down turn and some of his coach MFG's folded like Travel Supreme, tough times for dealers back then.

I really don't know. I never used Marty's service. Went there back in 2008 when I bought my rig but ended up buying it in Ct. I was very pleased with the results from Camping World and how quickly it was done.
