Hi all...great site you have here, I've learned a lot. This is going to be our first time out camping , we just bought a newTT, and I want it to be great, so does anyone know of a nice campground near the Atlantic City area? We live in NJ, and want to stay close to home for the first time. Also, how do you find a good CG? I tried reading Woodalls, and found it so confusing! Thanks, in advance!

Welcome!!!! I can't tell you about cg's near Atlantic City, but I can say you've found the right place for information. We have members in New Joisey that might be able to help (AHEM....Bob???) Don't be afraid to ask questions in this forum or any of the others. We have lots of campers ready to help. If you get the chance to join us at one of our rallies, come hungry, we have a good time.

First of all Welcome to IRV2. I will give you two sites I use for reviews on campgrounds RV Park Reviews and That's Camping. Use a Woodalls book, or Good Sams Trailer life book, and then check these reviews. Take it all in and then make a decision. You cant beleive everything you read. E-mail me for further lzapka@earthlink.net

Hey maybe we should have a Hendrix night when we camp out at Turning Stone. I think we still have some of those old albums hanging around. I was a Hendrix fan too!

Hi All!
So Sorry I never wrote back. I've been trying to get my eBay career up and running, I sell my artwork on eBay. My husband and I are still working, not ready to retire yet,so we can only go traveling a bit for now. We're planning a month-long trip in February, when his work is slow...so that is something we're really looking forward to.
Also, we've got 3 (somewhat grown-up sons who we love to see,and they pop in whenever, so that has postponed some outings too.
Thanks for all the good info about AC, we didn't get there 'cause I broke my foot,(klutz)and we stayed home.
And Captain Bud, we do live in Monmouth County, in Wanamassa,to be exact. Are we neighbors? We do love it here, but it has become SO Over-CROWDED and so much more traffic than ever. We're gonna go to visit one son who lives in Rochester,NY next weekend, and there seems to be a lot of RV parks up there, so no worries about that.
We have a loaded 2005 Fleetwood Wilderness that we love,a red 2004 Ford F-150,and a 'heinz-57'great dog,Lynnie.
Happy Fall to everybody.
Jani & Rich

Hi Jani and Rich, Yes we are neighbors as you can see by my sig, I live in Oakhurst, Yes it is getting crowded and the taxes are outrageous. We just came back from a trip to Ithaca and the Nor'Easters Rally at Turning Stone. You will have to be careful about trying to find open CGs, they are beginning to shut down for the Winter season. Keep checking into this site you will be seeing info about the Nor'Easters Spring Rally which will be in Cape May in '06. If you need any help with anything, Holler BTW Where did you buy your rig??

Hi Captain Bud,
thanks for the heads up about the cg's closing, and for the help offer!
I will def. check it out for our Feb.trip.
We bought our TT at Meyers, (it was Campers of Amer. in Farmingdale.) We actually had a vintage Avion, that we loved. Our friends were upgrading their MH and we went with them to the dealer there. When we looked into the Wilderness,we kinda just fell in love with it. So we bought it,spur of the moment! and then sold the Avion.
I know what you mean about NJ taxes!whenever I tell someone who's not from here about what we pay in taxes and car insurance, they think I'm making it up! One of the reasons we wanted a TT, in the first place, was to travel and find a nice place to maybe retire to, NJ is just too expensive to live in at this stage.Did you see the front page of the APPress Sunday? same thing, us locals getting priced out of our towns!
thanks again,
will stay in touch!
jani
