Yesterday we were traveling with Bill (Vet Man) and Nancy and stopped in Moultonborough, NH to let Nancy check out a quilting shop. While waiting outside a gentleman walked up to me and ask if I was on IRV2. When I said yes, he said he recognized me from pictures of the NorEasters spring rally. His screen name is BobRusso and he has been on IRV2 for 3 years but hasn't made a rally yet. We met his bride and had a very nice visit on the porch of the shop. They both are very nice people and I hop we see them at a rally in the not to distant future.
It's a small world..... but I wouldn't want to paint it.

GREAT JOB TOM!!
I was sitting in a campgroud in Florida over the holiday weekend and a group of Florida Boomers came in and recognized my rig from the pics and I ended up having a great time with them!!
Sometimes it's those "chance encounters" where we have the most fun!
Truly the "power" of the forums...
THANK YOU ALL for your continued support of iRV2!

That is probably one of the best things about RVing, the chance encounters and the people that are lurking and are a little timid to join. I know the Noreats ers are the greatest bunch of RVwers, to get people involved and to attend our rallies. Thanks Tom and keep up the good work.....Bud

Tom,
It was great meeting you, Bill and the brides. Looking forward to meeting more of the Noreasters in Branson and to some day earn the coveted Noreaster logo.

Although it wasn't a chance meeting, it was nice to get together with Marty and Joan this past weekend. I thought I knew all the great places to eat in Lake George, but they showed us a new one (to us). I wish we hadn't gotten stuck in traffic and then a detour from an accident and could have gotten there sooner! Hope to do it again. It's like having family all over the place!

Well DriVer, you could come and join us at one of our rallies. You travel all over the place, take one of those trips up north. Come to our fall rally and you can see all of us.

Mike,
Although I liked going to Tenn for last years national, my kids were not happy, while at the campground there were no activities for them! If my kids are not happy my wifes not happy, (and you know who is not happy then!) When we were at Penn the year before for the National, they did try to keep the kids quite busy, so this year we decided to do our own thing and mabye catch up at a National in a few years. Usually it appears that the Nationals are geared to more the the retired people without children, JMHO, so when My children get older mabye I will return.

A "five" Region Rally {East Coast} "Maybe" in early June or September 2008 but certainly not down here during the "higest" cost per site season. Ideally - we were doing really well here at the end of March featuring inexpensive rates and really good weather for that time of the year. September is an ideal month here for good warm weather and water at the beach. Kids unfortuinately have to go back to school.
Next year in 2008 The Hard Rock Amusemewnt Park is scheduled to open. Now that's going to be an entertainment destination of choice for all ages but the kids will definately get a lot out of this place. The park is located across the street from the Camping World out on SC501 in the old Waccamaw Pottery complex. I saw a shipment of coaster components coming in on flat beds.
Would I like to do something geared around this event - you bet. It's going to be the key stone of the tourist entertainment industry for many years to come.
See it being built on webcam, HERE
ABOUT HARD ROCK PARK
Hard Rock Park will be an approximately 140-acre theme park celebrating the spirit of rock and roll located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The world's first rock n' roll theme park - Hard Rock Park has been designed to be an innovative and distinct extension of the global Hard Rock brand. The Park will provide visitors of all generations a fun and exciting full-day entertainment experience, becoming one of the largest and most innovative attractions in the Myrtle Beach market.
The nearly $400 million Hard Rock Park is billed as a totally immersive, full-day attraction, appealing to visitors of all generations. The groundbreaking park will reflect the brand's commitment to music featuring six unique, custom-designed zones celebrating rock's culture, lifestyle, legends and irreverence. Positioned to blow traditional park visitors away, Hard Rock Park will include more than 40 attractions, a multi-purpose live music amphitheater, shows and state-of-the-art sound systems - uniquely developed for the project, roller coasters, children's play areas, restaurants, cafes and retail stores.

Moosey makes a good point about the kids activities.I just think it will be a couple more years before I go to Branson. Its more of a Karen and I destination in the future.I am envious of you folks that have more traveling time.I have fun at the Nationals, some of you saw how sad I was when i didnt win anything and gave me some great stuff (you hear me Ed).I am eager to find out where 2008 will be. We will be in MB in April.
