Hi. I just read on the national thread that Claire shattered her elbow at the rally. It sounds like she will have to have surgery near her home, as they weren't set up to do it there.
Roger,if you read this, please keep us updated, and let Claire know that prayers are going her way. I hope it's a successful surgery and that she heals quickly.
Doris

After a long drive home and I falling a sleep when I entered house and waking up 8:00 PM thinking it was 8 in morning ready to make coffee than my twins said its not morning its been that kind of a trip.
Claire is resting as comfortably as she can with a fracture just above right elbow waiting to see Doctor in AM. Twins are seeing that she is getting all the pain meds and feeding her and helping with bathroom affairs. Sure is going to be different for a while. Claire has been holding her own with temp cast and sling.
I sure hope she gets spliced as soon as possible its difficult for her to maneuver as it has been before this happened.
The rally was great as all irv2 rallies are, good people, plenty to eat and meeting old friends and new. Had a few tornadoes around the area for something different.
Will keep you updated as things progress and Claire wants to thank everyone for the well wishes on irv2.

Claire has finally had her brake above elbow spliced together with plates, she is resting comfortably. She's at Beth Israel, 1-617-754-3646 RM#, for anyone that wishes to call, for a couple more days than home for recoup and therapy.

Claire had her cast removed and 40 staples removed and 5 stitches. Had a x-ray because she thought her wrist was broken after cast removed, its ok.
Now the fun begins with therapy to get the arm working, has pretty good movement now but no lifting can be done.
Thanks everyone for all the cards brightens up the dry sink near her chair.
