Hi Folks,
These 2 Nor'Easters are FL bound a week from today. We would love to get together for dinner with anyone in the area. For the first week we will be at Anna Maria Island at a rental. We would love to have any or all of you stop by to see us there. We have a small 1st floor unit on the beach. We could go out to dinner there or on 4th we are heading to the Villages for 2 days and we could also plan a dinner in that area. I know a few of you are close by. We will be in Vero Beach on the 6th visiting some friends from here and then home on the 7th.
Make sure it's warm and sunny for us when we get there!

Hi Lynn, my mom and dad used to have a place on Anna Marie Island in the 60's. We would be interested in meeting for dinner when you are up in the middle of the state. We are pretty much free now that family has gone home. 83 deg today, had to say goodbye to ttt1953 this evening to go to a outdoor cookout. Campfire and all. Even the outdoor pool is warming up.

Lynn,
We are only 20 +- miles north of The Villages and look forward to getting together. It has been in the 80's past two days so we bottled some up, will uncork it when you get here.

TO; PARTHECOURSE:

HI, Lynda and Mike;

Hope all is well and you're using a lot of sun-screen.

Enjoyed reading about your 80 plus temp while we're enjoying 15-18 degrees, but I guess that's why you'rd there.

Be careful and stay healthy!!!

By the way , we can't make it for dinner, too long a commute.

We are waiting for our new toad to come in. I have the base-plate, drop receiver and all other necessities in my hallway , clogging things up

Wish we were there== Aime and Barb

Then let's set up a dinner meeting while we are in the Villages. Mike or Vetman, do you have any favorite restaurants in the area? That would be either Saturday night March 4th or Sunday night March 5th. Either will work for us. We will be bringing my b-i-l along.

Lynn, I know of a steak house at the exit on rt 75 and rt 50, there is also a Cracker Barrel there. All others that I know of would be in Brooksville. You may not want to drive to Btooksville, unlees you came for the day. Either day is ok with me. I think Bud maybe in the area also.

Al, Florida is the Buffet Capitol of the World, you will never run out of places to eat here. I even learned a trick, but have not tried it, and probably will not. They go in to the buffet at 3:45 which is lunch time and price. At 4:00 they bring out the dinner food. Eat a salad waiting for the supper meal. Pay the lunch price for supper. Vet Man

Vet Man you have to be kidding! Right? Here in VT the buffet scene is not so good. Not enough turn over to keep the food fresh. So we have this aversion to buffet. However we have learned that in more populated areas, they are much better. So buffet is fine. I know there is one near the Villages that we have gone to with b-i-l which was good. Spoke with Lynda last night and she thought maybe we should eat somewhere in the Villages. We often go to one place, can't remember the name but they have great prime rib and 2 for 1 happy hour drinks.

Hi Lynn, perhaps the people you are visiting at the Villages know of a place to eat. We will go where ever. I do not know how far we are from the Villages. I would like to look around there. Vet Man

Lynn, looks like we are about 40 miles away. Which part of the Villages are you going to be at and where will we meet? Vet Man

Lynn,
Like Vet Man, we would like to look around The Villages and you would like to check out the cg we are in, so we been thinking........again.

Perhaps we could meet mid afternoonish, look around, then eat (there are numerous restaurants there, you pick the day and place) then we could retire to our cg for desert, and a campfire. Strawberries are in season and we, Lynda, will be glad to whip up some shortcake.

Bill, we are at exit 341 so it's a quick 40 minutes back to your exit.

Spoke on moment ago with Dot, oceancamper, they are away from their home in The Villages, but plan on being back and will jump in on this thread asap. I'm sure they will have recommendations.

Bud and Ruth are in Ruskin but moving north, closer to this area, maybe we can get them involved.

If this is feasible let us know and we'll make arrangements for the fire pit etc.
