Pulled the MH out of her spot and opened up the slides, ran the genny, cranked up the heat pump, and spent a couple of wonderful happy hours with my bride deciding what to carry where and how much. It really is a lot of fun and we talk about everything we need, especially food. I have a little more to consider this year regarding health supplies, i.e. meds, oxygen generator and oxygen bottles. I had to offload some gear to make room, but it was stuff I haven't used in years...as a final touch I mounted an Xmas wreath on the hood ....more to follow..

Good for you Capt. take it slow and have a good trip when you get to go.
If wife has her way may be going in Jan. we only need new batteries and a new water pump for engine, oh well.
Weather seems to be staying warm hope it will stay that way.

All of you use care getting here. Haven’t made contact with Al yet, (he must be in sauna, didn’t answer phone) but he has done a good job getting Florida ready for the NorEasters.

Say in the right lane at the speed limit, we saw more accidents than ever on the way down, many seem to insist on driving east and west at 90 mph on these south bound highways????

Ruthie and I are finally finished visiting all the doctors and got a clean bill of health to go South. We have received all of our scrpts and have received all are meds. We have Frontline for the dogs and only need to get their dog license. Put some more incidental gear on board the MH. Phew it's a lot of work gettin' ready to go, need to get some propane this week and fuel the toad. Gettin pretty close...

Hey Bud,

Enjoy the trip, wish I could go south too. had to forgo our plans this year due to the heart attack a few weeks ago. I'm in cardiac rehab for another 11 weeks and so far am doing fine.

Glad to hear you've recovered and got the clean bill of health, I'm just envious 'cause I want to go to FL too.

Enjoy the sunshine and warmth.

Florida sounds very good right now. We have no power, no heat, just the wood stove. The kittens lay in front of it, and we pick them up and carry them around like heating stones.Hope to get back electricity by Wednesday.

Yo Doris, sorry to hear about your lack of electricity. "Not for Nothin" (Frankieism), how are you powering your computer? Do you have Gil on a bicycle with a generator attached? LOL All kidding aside ,it must be a drag to be without power for so long...

I went to my sisters yesterday with all my elctronics and charged them. And someone in my neighborhood that has electricity is nice enough to be umm..sharing his wifi.

Right now, we just this minute hooked up a borrowed generator. Just a small 2500 one. I have no idea how often we have to 'feed' it. We are definately looking for one once they have them back in stock, for camping without electricity.

My son in Leominster lost power, I went to Wallingford, CT, got a 5KW generator, brought it to him Fri. nite, Sat 10 AM, power is back, 1 PM son turned a slight profit selling generator.

Most stores are out of them.

Can't wait to get to warmer weather.

Yo Mikey, did your son share the profit with you? Did you get gas money from him? Did he buy you case of soda? Did he take you and Mo out to dinner? I know what your reply is going to be, "Yeah Right" ROGLMAO
