You'll have to let us know how that campground is. As I had mentioned to you, I heard it was nice, but we've never been there. I was told it's about 10 miles from Turning Stone. We also visited the Racino at Vernon Downs, if you want a smoke free experience on the machines. We didn't sign up for a card/play the machines, but they had signs up that they give you $30 in play for signng up for the card to use in the machines.

Hi everyone, we are at the KOA across from the Diamond Mines. The place is one of the best campgrounds we have ever been to. Tomorrow we go to the Baseball Hall of Fame and to the Corvette Hall of Fame 3 miles out of Coopers Town. We moved out of Trails End after one day. Roads there are very narrow for miles going in only one can pass. Many low handing trees, and lots of mud. Would not be bad but for the rain before we arrived. Could not get in and out with my car, never took it off the trailer. Mike will call you if we get over that way or give a call and stop by. Going digging for Diamonds Sat or Sun.

Bill, sounds like it's called Trails End for a reason. Thanks for the up date.

Ruth and I stayed at the KOA a few years ago. I dug and dug and didn't get any diamonds. So when we got home I had to go to the jeweler and drop a coupla K on a rock.....LOL

We went to the basaeball Hall Of Fame today. They have alot of sites right on the river with sewer. Lots to do here, conoeing, tubing, shopping, boat ride on Erie Cannel, through the locks raises the boat 20ft. Diamond mine across the street we are going to dig over the weekend. There is a large open privilon with a huge fire pit with benches around it. A very nice playground, and swimming pool.I asked the owner work up a package for a possible rally if there was intrest in coming here. I'll bring the stuff to the fall rally.

We returned home late this afternoon. We had a great time and we drove to the Locks we went through. There was a boat comiing through so the lock operator let us walk out on top of the lock gates and ride them while it opened. I will be returning there next year. It would be a great place for a rally. Nancy even found a diamond, and never had to hit a rock.

It's only an hour or so down the road from us. If others are interested in a rally there in late May early June, Lynda and I would be willing to assist in putting it together.

Here's a link of mines and KOA: http://www.herkimerdiamond.com/

Mike the lady on the left is the one I talked to. She gave me a package of stuff. I would help out you and your wife if you would like to do it. Maybe you could start a new thread to check for interest. I know I will be going back. She will set up packages for us. I believe we could all have W/E/S on the river. I will bring stuff to fall rally for people to see. Nancy picked up a diamond right in our own site. Let me know.
