Hi, there. I am in Illinois, and need info from your area. I thought that this would be a good place to get some answers.
This Sept., we are planning a trip to Maine. Along the way, we want to stop in the Boston area. I understand that we can stay at Normandy Farms, at Foxboro, and take tours out of the campground. Is this a good plan?
We also plan to visit Salem, Ma, but are having trouble getting info on campgrounds, local tours, etc. Can anyone help us out there?
Thanks.

hello,

While I have never stayed at Normandy Farms ( that will change in May at our Spring Rally), I know many people that have really enjoyed this campground. It was listed as one of the top ten campgrounds in the US. There are many things about this campground that make it more of a resort than a standard campground.

On the campgrounds in Salem area I would use this link and look up others reviews of camping in MA. Use http://www.thatscamping.com/ and look up northeastern MA area for campgrounds.

I hope this helps alittle and if you want anything else, please ask on this forums

I will get some info for you in the next couple weeks.Salem has a small state park(parking lot on the water)That has full hookups.Gloucester has a couple campgrounds and Normandy Farms in Foxboro is one of the better parks but a little pricey during peak times.

Thanks, Frankie!!
I will be happy to hear anything you can provide. Have been getting mixed reports on the park at Salem. Some are saying that they no longer permit camping, while others are saying that they are expanding thier campground.
