We have joined the ranks of dog owners. We have adopted a rescue dog from Mississippi. She is 9 months old. She was surrendered at 6 months and spent 3 months being fostered by a vet tech who worked with her to train her so she would be adoptable. She's very sweet and responds well to commands. You will all get to meet her at the spring rally.

She is a black lab/plott hound mix. She looks like a dark brindle lab.

OHHHH Labs are such nice dogs. Really gentle.
Can't wait to see her. Our big dog is getting up there in years. Our little one is nuts.
My Mom had a black lab. He was a big cat.

Aw, sweet. Was the Vet Tech from your area, or did you find her on line and they will transfer her? I love it when I read somoene rescued a pet from afar, and people transfer them person by person. There are such caring people out there. And you know I thank you for taking a rescue pet. Some of them have had such miserable beginings, it's always nice to here of them getting adopted. I love labs (and mixed ones!), and can't wait to meet her.
We'll have young foster kittens with us, in case anyone is thinking of adopting a kitten this summer!

Congrats Lynn on the 'new addition'!!! We wish you the best! Sorry that we can't make it to the spring rally & meet her, but hopefully we can at the fall rally! Good luck & if you are in the Lake George area during the next several months, stop by!
