We will be there tonight and tomorrow night! Yahoo, our first time out this year! The weather doesn't sound that good but hey, we'll be camping...

At least they have an indoor pool. If you can get yourself put down by the pool, I'd suggest it, rather than one of the sandy hill sites, since rain is expected. It's nice by the indoor pool, and close to a lot of stuff.
Have a great time!

Hey Doris, thanks for the advise. I will make that request. Allyson and her SO are joining us tomorrow to make it an official Mother's Day camping weekend.

We had a great weekend at LGRV Park. Friday evening was beautiful so we had a nice campfire and cooked out on the fire. Saturday not so nice but still had fun with Allyson & Ray. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend Oscar's Smoke House, a meat store. They have an incredible variety of sausages, cheeses and fresh meats! It's in Warrensburg I think.
Also we really enjoyed Lake George RV Park. Although the prices are high, the campground is well planned, lots of nice amenities and nice sites. We were situated near the indoor pool area and the only down side was that it was near Rt. 149 and there was some road noise. I would go back but probably in spring or fall, not during high season at $72/night.

Oscar's is great. We first heard about in on 30 Minute Meals. It's a favorite of Rachel Ray's. She lives in the area.

Good thing I didn't see Rachel in there. I don't like her. But Oscar's is great so I can see why she would shop there.

I've met her a few times, since she's from our area and has done some small cooking charities we've been to as well as worked at a place where we used to have lunch back when I worked at the lab. I don't care for her show, but in person she really is sweet, and becomes a part of the audience after her demos. Even back when she was a nobody, she was always trying to please.
Oscars has been around forever and we often get their meat when up in the area.
