For us USAF Boys. We get underway tomorrow morning at 0900 as well. Wake up is 0600, breakfeast at 0730, what ever you can find to eat. All grocries are aboard, lots of Tv dinners for the trip, haven't ate them in years. 0845 check the car tie downs on the Soltice. 0900 lots of tears and hugs, for daughter, grand-sons, son-inlaw and Bentley who will be staying behind with them. Couple BLASTS on the Hadleys as we turn south. Bentley is now a member of there family and my heart is broken, but Nancy can not have another fall.

Bud & Ruth, have a safe trip south! We'll be headed south in a week. Hope to see you all in Florida if you make that far south!

Typical ARMY, sit back and let you guys blaze the trail.
Looks like unless he drives real slow I won't catch and pass Vet Man this year. We may leave next Mon or Tues if I hold together.

Sitting here in Montreal, marked on a southbound train at 1100 hours. When I get home tonight, will be checking to see what the railroad has planned for New Years. If they're going to give us 4 days off as they did for Christmas, I'll probably head South on Tues. or Wed.. If not I will be headed by Mon. for sure.
See you soon Al, everyone else travel safe.

Sitting here in NC for the night. Talked to the Capt and he is only 50 miles away. Will hook-up with them tomorrow, and travel to Myrtle Beach for a few days. Then head south again. 75deg today, seemed hot, A/C on. Come on Mike catch up.

There are several hundred miles of beautiful DZ’s on both coasts down here.
Got green smoke and light,
STAND IN THE DOOR……………GO.
Thanks to you straight legs in the USAF for getting us here and the Navy for scooping up those who missed the beach. We’re in behind them an will have things softened up when the rest of you get here.

Well, we got underway headed south today! Met Jetsmania at the Maryland rest area and got a tour of his new 45 foot Newmar; beautiful, he's headed for Florida too. Encountered heavy traffic near Richmond, at least a 2 hour delay. Staying in Petersburg tonight, plan on arriving Florida Monday.
