Happy to announce we have a new grandson. Oisín (ush-sheen) Alexander was born Wednesday, in Ireland and weighed in at 8 lbs, 12 ounces and is the baby brother of our granddaughter Áine (awn a).
Can't wait until shortly after the new year, to go over and hold him!
We needed pronunciation lessons, but I think we have it down now. Those traditional Irish names are real tongue twisters.

Wer add our congratulations also, Doris. We have a similar problem, but in the opposite direction. Son and daughter-in-law had their first baby in mid-November. They live in Chiba, which is a suburb of Tokyo. DW is looking up Vancouver-Tokyo schedules and prices as we speak!

It's interesting that we get our newst grandchild just two weeks before the eldest one had her 21st birthday! We have GKs at 21, 19, 17, 16, 7 and 6 weeks.

wa8yxm:

How does that saying work when your grandkids are teenagers? Fortunately all ours are really nice people. We (and our kids) must have done something right over the years. They're all good friends with each other and with parents and grandparents.
