I would like to announce the creation of a "forum leader" for the Nor'easter Forum and announce that "Captain Bud" has graciously accepted the position.
Bill and I have been trying to come up with ways to keep the forums active and keep the content fresh and up to date and as such we've created the "position" of forum leader. We feel that being able to concentrate on just one forum will give our forum leaders the ability to participate on a more one on one basis...
Thank you all for your continued support and please join me in thanking Bud for his efforts....
I'm sure ya'll can keep HIM in line.
Sincerely,
Bob Gregory

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I though Bud already had this "job" as moderator. Is this something different?
As for keeping him "in line"..heck, that's Ruth's job, and we all pay her well to do that LOL!

Doris, it is indeed a different "direction" in which we as a web site are heading, in which we have more forum "leaders" who would be responsible for one forum and it's content.
We're looking for that person to stimulate their topic with a timely post or comment when need be...
Indeed we felt that Captain Bud would be the "right" person for the Nor'easter Forum and we're excited he felt the same way.
While Bud will not have the moderator responsibilities in the other forums, I personally feel his "new" job to be more important.
If we could get more folks like Bud in the other forums to take ownership of a particular forum as Bud has done, we'd be doing really well!
THANKS AGAIN Bud!!

We've always had Bud to stimulate a topic, so I guess he's been doing the job right along, along with others.Glad he's had an upgrade. Hey Bud, I guess congrats are in order.

Well Bud, you're the man! And I think your painted rocks have magical powers. I have one that was given to me by the wizard (Capt. Bud) once when I was wagon mistress. This rock has special powers, it does talk to me. I can see all the Nor'easters in it and what they are doing! Hey Frankie, stop scratching yourself! Hey Bud stop using those dogs as a babe magnet! I'll report you to the humane society.
Hey Bud, my daughter now has a B-I-L named Salvatore.
