Fetch & Carry how is Could ya Hon doing?

If it looks like George won't be allowed to drive, let's talk about some alternative ways to get you here. If need be Lynda and I will drive down and I'll drive your rig back and forth.

Keep us posted.

Oh Mike that is so generous of you. We have to wait until we see the neurosurgeon a week from tomorrow. Then we will have a better idea of what George can or can't do. We sure do want to make this fall rally. For one thing we need some fun! I think it will depend on whether or not George can even ride that far. He is feeling a little better each day and he's getting really sick of sitting on the couch! It will be 3 weeks of couch sitting on Monday! Yikes, I'd be going bonkers! So I'll keep you posted on George's progress. I'm sure he'd love to get some emails if anyone wants to send him a joke or something. His email is george.saunders@omya.com Once again you Nor'Easters are the greatest!

Did he hear the one about the lady taking her cold, limp duck to the Vet's office?

The Vet laid the duck out on the exam table, listened to its chest with his stethoscope and sadly advised the lady that her duck was dead.

She became quit upset and asked if he were sure and if there wasn't something he could do.

With that he left the room and returned shortly with a Labrador Retriever, the dog smelled the duck from head to toe, shook his head and let the room. The Vet then brought in a cat, the cat got up on the table and also went over the duck from head to toe, jumped down on the floor, shook it's head and left the room.

With that he proclaimed the duck absolutely, certifiably dead. When the lady stopped crying he went to his computer, typed in a few entries, printed out and handed her the bill.

Two hundred and seventy dollars she exclaimed, to look and my poor duck!

Well, had you accepted my first diagnosis it would have been twenty dollars, but when you insist on lad reports and cat scans it all adds up.

Sorry to hear about George, hope all will be well soon. George will be in our prayers for a speedy recovery. Hope to see you both in October. Lots of TLC from his loving wife and he'll be back in record time.

Well, we haven't had an update in a bit. How's George doing, and what did the doc say about traveling?

Well the word from the neurosurgeon is that he is recovering well. But unfortunately he will not be able to travel any distance for awhile so we will not be able to come to Turning Stone. It makes us sad to not be able to see you all and have fun but we have to do what is best for George. The visit to the Dr.'s was the first time he had riden in a car for 3 1/2 weeks. It was quite an event for him. Today will be the first time that he has driven. He won't be able to ride in a car for any long period of time for awhile. But he is getting better, it's always a slower process than you would hope. Thanks for all your warm thoughts and encouragement. We will be really looking forward to the spring rally.

Hi George & Lynn

Lynn I'm really happy that Geoge is starting to feel better but I have to tell you that George must be one of the toughfest men I've ever met because a one day drive bothers me and you made him take a 3 1/2 week ride to the doctors.
<The visit to the Dr.'s was the first time he had riden in a car for 3 1/2 weeks.> Doctors must be hard to find in VT

Good Luck and Carol and I hope to see everyone in the spring or in Springfield in Feb. Ken

Aw Lynn..we were really looking forward to seeing youse guys! Our best to George, hope he feels fit as a fiddle (or should that be a guitar) soon. I wondered if the doc would let him be on the road for a long time. You both will surely be missed

We are glad to hear that things are improving. You'll be missed, but its better that George recovers fully and gets in shape for the Spring. Keep us up to date and if there's anything, just ask.

Thanks everyone. But it does mean there is a prime site up for the taking. I haven't cancelled the reservation yet but plan on doing so in the next few days. I know somebody wanted to move. They should be in touch with me.
