With the price of gas going up, the Wife and I were talking about the idea of parking the 5er for the season at a park somewhere in northern Mass, southern VT/NH or over the line in NY. This way we could pull our power boat. We live in CT and would like to keep the road trip to not much more then 3 hrs. Does anyone have a suggestion for a park the is on a lake or a boat safe river? Or: a park with a short ride to a lake or a boat safe river

A few years ago we stayed
here for a few days. Not sure if it's far enough north for you but it's a nice park and they have a boat slip.

Thanks Bob
Looks like a real nice place
but geeezzz is that a typical seasonal cost?
almost 4G, if so maybe I have to reconsider my thinking.

We were seasonal for a few years but we gave it up. One of the considerations was that we could buy a lot of gas for the price of a seasonal site and see more places. With all the trips we have planned this year, we still won't burn as much in gas as we would pay for a site. Just my 2 cents worth.

Ed & Lisa,
for the shock. Not having priced seasonals before, I have no idea what the going rates are. Since this is rated 5W/5W by Woodall's that may explain it.
I'm sure some experienced seasonal folks will have some reasonable suggestions.

Being from NY and servicing to campgrounds I can tell you on the low end you aare looking at $3000.00 up to $5000.00 a season. Lake George RV park has a spring and fall special where you get so many weekend or a cost, that might be your best bet for NY.
Other than that, you could go cross country and back for that amount, and I would rather see allot of places like Tom.

If you have MS Streets & Trips right click on Cheshire, CT and select "drive time zone". Set time for the driving time from your home.
Below is a 3 hour drive time zone from Cheshire, CT.
