I will be picking up my new 5er in a week or two. My wife was talking to our salesman yesterday when he mentioned that the balance had to be paid in full before the demo. I'm not comfortable with this. I feel I should know that everything works and everything is as promised before I hand over the money. So before I raise a stink what do you think?

Absolutey not!! Do the walk thru, get any defects put down in writing, then and only then pay for it. If you are not comfortable, have the dealer fix what ever is wrong and then come back. BTW where did you buy it???

I can see no reason for that attitude from the salesman. I would not do it. What are they afraid of?

Vinpol, that guyz NUTZ. No DEMO No Casho, that simple. And, don't feel bad either, its customary to do the walk through before papers are signed, if you don't do it like that you've given up yer hammer.

Tell them that the coach will be 100% right before they get the rest of the cash. If you do the walk through and there are problems, DO NOT accept the coach. Tell them you will be back to complete the deal when it is 100%.
Once the dealer has the cash and you signature, you loose the upper hand. Do NO accept and IOU for any work or promise to fix it when you come back for warranty work. If he can not accept this, call the manager or owner and explain it to him.

Thanks everyone for letting me know what you think. It was the salesman that said it, he's kind of young and I think fairly new. I'll see his boss tomorrow and get to the bottom of this. Stand By!

I am sure they would love to have the money, before you have the chance to see what shape its in and if you really like it. If they treat you poorly before the sale, imagime what it will be like after they have your money.

I agree with everyone else here.....I didn't sign any checks until I'd had the PDI and made certain everything was ok...
