Hi, we're going on a family vacation the last 2 weeks of September, leaving Sept 15. For the most part, I doubt we'll have access to the internet during our vacation.

If you're planning to sign up for one of the pot lucks, and haven't done so yet, please do.

Also, please check the sign up lists and let me know if I've missed or miss-posted anything.

Before we leave, I'll update the lists to reflect input posted by end of day Thursday Sept 13th.

Reminder.... I'd like to recommend we follow Doris' suggestion, which is:

quote:

I know we have a few people with allergies and problems to certain foods. With a potluck this big, it's going to be hard to know just what a dish is, or who made it, once we are there and the dish is put out.
I suggest everyone use a folded 3X5 card and put their name and dish name on the front, and the dish ingredients on the inside, and put that in front of their dish for each meal. That will help those who may have a question about a dish, identify the owner and the dish.

See you at the Fall Rally,

Not knowing what it is. Lots of times when she puts it on the table I wonder what it is, even after tasting it. I'll put my name on it so you will know to go on by!

So Bill, are you saying your entry on the sign list should indicate "Mystery Dish"?

Nancy and I were camped at a local campground when a van pulled in next to us with a small group of men. They were dressed in long gowns, and had shaved heads and spent the weekend chanting. They were the talk of the campground. They were real nice guys and offered to share there evening dinner. I was unable to reconize what it was, so I took it to the pot luck that night. It was good for a few laughs, until other campers found out where it came from. This is a true story

Hello, my wife and I are full-timers originally from Delaware but currently in New Hampshire. We are fairly new to iRV2 and noticed your having a fall rally in Warren. We are currently in Bridgewater, NH at Newfound RV Park, so we aren't far away. Any chance we could join you for your gathering?

Sure..just give the campground a call and ask if they have an empty site..or be put on a waiting list. I think I read someone cancelled on site 21.

Thanks much Doris! I called the campground (Carol is very nice!) and was told site 21 (W&E only) is indeed available and possibly another but is on the other end of the park. We are going to try to finalize our plans and make reservations ASAP (hopefully by tomorrow). We would likely be there the 3rd thru 8th.

Thanks again and look forward to meeting you all!

After speaking to Carol at Scenic View again, we didn't get the warm fuzzy feeling we would be able to get our motorhome into site #21 which was the only site available. We decided to drive our car over to the campground and was sorry to find we were right. Many low tree branches, site only about as long as the motorhome (40') and with slides it would be very tight. I am sure the pull-thru sites would be fine but are booked.

Would have really liked to meet everyone but think we are going to have pass on this one. We are still new to the motorhome and just don't feel comfortable taking a risk of damage to our home.

Thanks again but maybe another time/place. Enjoy the rally!

Hi Robert & Shelly,
Since you are close enough to drive over, you can always join us for the pot lucks. And also maybe someone else will change their minds at the last minute. This is a pretty big group and people do tend to make changes at the last minute.
