Worked my last day after 27.5 years at the fire department today. Light on the hair, Kids out of the house, bought an RV and now retired. Good thing the gas prices have come down.

Congratulations!!! I sure do envy you! I'm still drooling over that prospect...and still trying to talk DH into it. He's just not ready!

I'm happy for you, Nutmeg! It's great not having to get up and fight that traffic. When it's cold and wet outside, you can just roll over, pull up the covers, and go back to sleep. It's worth getting older, lol. Hope you have lots and lots of years of retirement...enjoy!

Nutmeg:Enjoy every day you got left. you've earned it- and then some. I retired after 23 yrs as a leo. I'm just glad we're here to rv and what ever else we choose to do. when that day came for me - i keyed the car mic- " 510- 10-7 -have a good life". I'ved never looked back.
