Select carefully the P&Ps without handles for RV use.The set I purchased as shown in Motorhome magazine a year ago do not spread the heat across the pan. Everything burns in the middle and is uncooked on the outer edge of the pan.

There are nice discs that can be used on cooktops that make a big difference in spreading out heat evenly across the bottom of a pot or pan. I use one I bought thru Williams Sonoma even with my 'good' cookware at home. Perfect for an even simmer. Think it was about 30 bucks. It really helps my cheap pots too.

There are pots and pans for cooking on gas ranges. The bottoms are much heavier (thicker) and spread the heat evenly.
