I know that some of you may think this is premature, but nothing here is written in stone. Bill (a.k.a. Vet Man) and I have been talking and we would be interested in offering to host the spring rally at Ross Hill Campground in Lisbon, CT. The campground says they can hold 30 sites for us in the rally field if we decide to go this way. http://www.rosshillpark.com/ We just want to give everyone a chance to look at their web site and think about it so we can discuss it at Lake George.

Go for it! Let's pick a date and we can mark it on our calendars. The way my life goes, it's never too early.

Hi all, just some info on Ross Hill Park and the area. Both Casino's are less then a half hr away, We thought we could go to the Moheagen for Sat night supper Buffet, rather then have a pot luck supper. Our plans are to keep this very simple. The campground offers breakfeast sat and sun mornings. Maybe a pot luck breakfeast Sat. Sun we could all meet for breakfeast at the provolion. They offer a full breakfeast. There is a boat launch right in the campground, fishing is good. There is everything from Bass Boats with 250hp motors to rental canoes. Tom and I will have our boats there as well. Golf courses are in the area, so another one of those great NorEasters tourments could be set up. Also there is a Nascar 1/3 mile oval 15 miles away. They run open wheel modified cars. Bill

Sounds good to us. Also, they have a few cabins for rent, for those not able to haul.

To; Tom and Bill;
Ross Hill looks good.
Barb and I will be there, I'll follow postings for additional info.
We always arrive early and leave later, do you fore-see any problem ?
Let me know if there is anything we can do to take some load off your shoulders. We can get food through a restaurant supplier and costs are real low.
Thanks for starting this.

We are looking at Mothers Day weekend right now. The Rally field has shaded as well as Sunny open sites. There are W/E sites with dump station and Bathhouse in the Rally Field. There are W/E/S sites near by but not in the Rally Feild. Everyone will make there own res when we get enough fedback to decide if people want to go there, and get the site numbers. I do not think coming in early or staying late is a problem if the sites are available. We can lock in the Rally Field anytime, there is enough intrest. Does anyone Know what the appox number of site we should have set aside? We would not need a final head count until 2 weeks in advance. Vet Man

Also nearby is the Submarine Force Museum http://www.submarinemuseum.org/ with the USS Nautilus http://www.ussnautilus.org/index.html open to public tours. Mystic Seaport http://www.mysticseaport.org/ and the Mystic Aquarium http://www.mysticaquarium.org/ are about a half hour away. Gillette Castle http://dep.state.ct.us/STATEPARKS/pa...ettecastle.htm is in East Haddem, about 30 miles away.
Bill and I will post more as we think of it and we'll be open to discussion at LG in 16 days.

It looks like at the spring rally there wer 17-18, Association Island 18 and the fall rally is 24-25. So I would reserve 25-30 sites.

Hi everyone
Sign me up. I'm interested in a site with water, electric, and sewer.
