Maybe we better get back on track and start really pushing the Jersey Rally, We still have available sites and admittedly it is late for a spring rally but we accepted it. There are quite a few Noreasters that are not going, so perhaps we can get some attendees from the "other" site, I know I'm trying by advertising it on the "other" site. So can we pl;ease talk up and bump up the Spring Rally.

Maybe I'm not reading this clear, but since I started the Fall Rally thread, I assume that is what you are talking about. Does this mean we can't talk about other rally's and times on the NorEasters site? Yep, I know you are yelling at me through the computer screen (only because you have told that in the past , and I hear you, but I don't understand why. It's not taking away from the Spring Rally, that I can see, and I would never do that. Bob's doing a great job, and he knows that I really care for him and Judy, and want that rally to be a success. We have people willing to take on the fall rally..why would we want to lose the chance? This has always been a big thing of all of us on this board..to get together, and be able to talk freely about where and when. I just don't understand this at all.

Before we "joined" the Nor'Easters, this was one of the posts I had come across. (if the link doesn't work, search for Nor'easter Club)It made me feel that this would be a nice group of people to meet up with. What happened to these people?? Last year, Al posted this regarding the 2005 spring rally: Hi All,
Wow if makeing plans for May in Feb is to late, this means there are to many Rvers out there Eek!! Haveing to plan 4 to 6 months ahead kind of takes away from the free-to-be travel on a whim RV lifestyle!! Since we can not yet commit about this weekend, sorry to say looks like there won't be room for us Frown!! nOW for the answer to Lynnvt's ? 89 Days!!
Al,Sandy,2 Grown kids and 2 small Dogs, and now one Cat! Oops make that two cats! I am starting to feel like Noah!
Not everyone works 9 to 5 M-F, or is retired, or self-employed. Even those that are have commitments that may keep them tied down. We all have things in our lives that cause us to not be able to attend everything we would like to. Has this group ever failed to have a rally because something wasn't planned out months in advance? Although the three Fall Rallies we have attended have been on Columbus Day weekend, if the brave soul that eventually volunteers to be Wagonmaster should decide to have it the weekend before or after, so be it.
Hasn't there been enough of the "unexpected" in all our lives in the last few years to forget to savor each day as it comes?
Andrea

So are you saying, that even though we have several who are willing to step up to the plate, and start planning we shouldn't (I'm not quite sure if you are saying we should wait longer, or start planning so those with jobs can make plans)?
For me, since time is getting harder and harder to come by, with our calendar busy with grandkids and other trips, I was just hoping that if someone wanted to get started on plans, they could, and I would be able to block out the time (and my original post was just an inquiry, since I had been told by another group, that they were having difficulty finding a spot for Columbus Day. Some in our group with kids prefer that weekend, because it's 3 days). As Al posted before, on the thread you quoted, he wanted to join us, but the sites were gone
Since so many have expressed interest, I assume some like to have dates well in advance, because they aren't retired and self employed. But if not, and the majority of the group want to wait a couple more months to plan for the fall, that's fine. It just didn't seem like it to me, with so many offering to get it going. I was just hoping for some advance notice myself (this one was planned 7-8 months in advance).
We've almost always had plans way in advance for our regular rallys. Mike put in his dips for Turning Stone in October, for the next October..they told him to wait until late Spring. He stopped in sooner, and found out that was almost too late. I was just trying to prevent that happening, and as I had said..several people have volunteered to step up to the plate.

To All, RE; PLANNING IN ADVANCE,
To be worth while for all, most things need advance planning especially if there are going to be numbers of people wanting to attend.
The, WHO, WHEN, WHERE, WHY, must be attended to and this takes time.
I missed the postings where a conflict in dates were posted so I don't know the whole story.
But I do know that many would like to know what's happening, where and when so they can choose which "event" they want to attend.
Waiting for more info,
Thanks=== Aime==== AJBJRVERS===

Doris, I am not yelling at you, and why you feel that way perplexs me. All I am saying is that I felt we were beginning to confuse and muddy teh schedule by talking about 3 different rallies, at the same time.
Any of us can go to any Rally at any place sponsored by anyone. All I would like to see is more of a push for the next Rally.
Wherever the Rally is held I will try to attend no matter how far or how long it takes me to get there. If the majority wants to decide here and now, as to where and when, so be it. I was just trying to get some new people interested in coming and stepping up to the plate.
Now let's get off the issue of a personal attack, if I was to attack you personally there would be no doubt in your mind of what I was doing.
Lets go Rvin
