Hi Guys and Gals!!!
I haven't been here in ages. Probably since it was winter and the RV was long forgotten in the driveway...lol How is everyone!
I have a question. We are going on trip to Baltimore for a Cheerleading competition. We are actually staying in College Park. This is going to be our second trip out and I'm a little nervous. AAA has us going 84-684-87-95-Jersey Turnpike-295-95. I never thought of issues with the camper and now we are thinking that route is a no go because of tunnels. We are now looking at 84-81-83 but it looks like it adds on 2 hours of travel time...gulp. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on routes or suggestions on what to expect. I have traveled 95 in years and I know the last time it was horrible. 84 seems like it'll be a little more relaxing but the extra time with 4 small children could be stressful.
Thanks!!!

You cannot take propane through either Baltimore tunnel.
The 695 beltway to east across the Key bridge is the shortest way around.
The longer way near Harrisburg is definitely better than I95 and the Jersey Turnpike.

Thanks!!! So our 84-81-83 would be an okay route. I haven't driven 95 in years and even with just a car we started going 84 to 81 to go to FL. Much less stress.

Your ok with the AAA route just stay on the Jersey TP cross Deleware bridge and pick up RT#896/301, about 5 miles from bridge, which will take you to RT#50 to Wash-DC #50 will run into #95/495 which you take north to your campground at College Park. 301 duel lane highway 50, 6 lane

I'll give a ditto to what "007" said. We just came back that way a couple of weeks ago and it was good road. Some construction around Annapolis but it didn't slow traffic down.

Have done both ways. Most everyone you speak with will say to avoid Baltimore & D.C. I agree. However, having said that if you are traveling on the weekend and it's after rush hour taking the 695 Beltway over the Key Bridge would be my choice.
